Alliance Troops Disappeared

I woke up this morning to find all the troops in my alliance are gone. I figured we lost a large battle, except I don't see any report showing we lost. Anyone else have this problem?

Yesterday my alliance glitched during battle and lost a lot of out army, now we are rebuilding and it sucks

Per my alliance leader, we dispatched our troops to defend the mine except we didn't make it in time. Unfortunately, instead of our troops returning they simply disappeared.
