They said that in their official letter as to why the 3.01 problem was caused... I don't think they are lying, I think they have no idea why it was caused and somehow firmly believe it is based on location -.-

Yeah, was looking forward to 3.0.2 release to fix the map problem...guess not. I still have troops out hunting...going on 140 hrs...can't bring them in cause I won't be able to send them out. I'm losing money on my hunts and I can't secure any oasis for resources and I can't scout or farm anything. What started out as a nice game has turned into frustration waiting for a fix.

Exactly. Haypi might refund your troops. But that's it, nothing else, even though you lost a lot more such as

Money from hunts
Army
Enhance stones from hunts
Treasure from hunts
Prestige from hunts
Prestige from attacks
Resources from attacks

And probably more
