Q re: hidden attack

I'm a newbie, so this may be dumb, but . . . If a hidden attack is successful when I'm away, will there be a war report in letters? Also, can someone steal resources without removing traps/ turrets? And finally, can someone take only one kind of resource, and if so, how?

the only thing hidden attack does is not give ur enemy a notification, it will still show in there actions tab, and yes there will war reports for all attacks

no, if someone has built traps and turrets they will have to be destoyed to win the battle

and no you cannot steal one reasorce pecificly

Wow! Question answered and were still able to post. Hmmmm, what to say..., oh, if someone does attack you while your away and your troops happen to live and they don't starve, attack them back.
