I NEED SOME HELP WITH DIRECTING MY ARMY IN THIS FIGHT CAN ANYONE HELP
Re: ARCHERS VS. CATS
This might help... If you're using archers try and move them so that they hit the cats, since archers will hit cats first most of the time (unless their speed is drastically higher than yours)

I believe that as soon as cats get in range of the archersthen the archers are screwed unless there number of archers are dramatically higher than cats. Archers are not really effective against cats but in numbers they can own other troops

incorrect archers with a high enough speed can move and hit further than the catapults...

Re: ARCHERS VS. CATS
little you can do against archers. moving forward against them early may help as they might not have the movement and shooting to take you when you move forward

Do exactly the opposite of what your opponent wants you to do, you can move cats forward, then move backward in hopes of dodging archers hit but still being in range for cats

Send a lot of cav forward to kill the archer, it's hard to focus on 2 units, so the archers will be in trouble, they might have to send their cavs forward and deplete their army, or your cavs will crush the archers
If you only have cats out, pretend to be offline and send cats forward first 2 turns, or whatever you feel is the right range. Then, wait or move your cats backward, they will be expecting you to move forward cuz they think you are offline, then their archers are toast

Re: ARCHERS VS. CATS
Im working on an archer guide and hope to have it posted sometime this week.
Archers attacking cat defense does give archers the first strike advantage assuming 1350 battlefield length max shooting and max speed. Assuming both sides play perfect the battle will draw. I only say archers have the advantage because assuming the attacker is commanding and knows what to do archers are controlling the fights tempo. Trickery aside
Archers with max speed and shooting should always hit cats first in a pure fight. They both have the exact same battlefield coverage as archers 400 movement + 720 range = 1220 vs. Cats 160 move + 960 range = 1220. Archers and cat commanders need to be able adjust for that 240 hex dead zone where cats can hit archers and archers can't retaliate. People say archers are tricky to play but honestly cats require the same skill and battlefield awareness to be effective.
Under the same conditions cats vs. Cats the defender will always have first strike. Archers are the counter to that advantage.
