How do I make money from forts ??

I have captured and am occupying a fort, level 1. It says $20 when I view it in cities. But my hourly rate of money coming in has not increased. I expected my hourly rate of money coming in to go up by $20 once I captured a level 1 fort. What am I missing? Thx.

It is going up incrementally. Every 3 minutes you will gain $1.....after an hour, you'll notice you have $20 more than you did one hour before.

I'm guessing because the rate is so slow and small, this is why you arent noticing it.

Well that's what I thought. The reason I think i'm not getting that extra $20 per hour is because when I tap the top to go to my Resources screen, where I see how much I am producing of everything per hour, the number stays the same for Money whether or not I am occupying a fort. If I occupy a wood oasis, for example, I see my output per hour number jump up on this screen. But I see no such increase for money when I occupy a fort. That's why I was wondering if I am doing something wrong. Does it matter if I have troops there or not?

When you occupy the fort, try relogging to see if that refreshes your output numbers.
