What was the point in quoting me?

Ohhh okay I was confused. Makes sense.

B - there is none. There is a very inaccurate completely wrong one available

B: Most posted formula here which completely contradicts above post:

This formula was from well over a year ago, but it's important to note regardless (since I was quoted) that oasis value does NOT mean oasis level.

The truth? This formula is horribly outdated and can no longer be relied on, especially since new things have been added to our harvest results, such as boxes, and stones etc. Additionally, I have been told by several support staffers that they constantly change and tweak their formula in an effort to perfect it. This means that unless Thomas tells you a hunt formula today (which he will never do) then you don't know the formula.

There are way too many things about hunting that don't make sense....like why you can hunt the same amount in 2 hours that you can hunt in 90 hours, or how in the world you can pull in boxes worth sooo much money with a small army, but never a gold amount equivalent to that.

There are certain things we DO know for sure, all you have to do is read the tutorial on the website and you will know as much as anyone else....excepting of course that this too is probably inaccurate information as that tutorial had not been updated nor edited for as long as I've been playing this game (a heckuva long time).

So now I am in the habit of advising general like this, when asked about hunting.....when troops are not in use, hunt them. This has multiple benefits, not the least of which is a chance to harvest some treasure, money or a 12 point trophy buck.

and I remember someone (I think Erraven) saying they pmed Thomas with a hunting formula asking if it was the right one and he replied "the hunting formula is much different than this"

How do you determine if the hunts going to be sucessful because I hunt on my main with 1 hunt at each of my five cties and harvest 2-3 times a day and about 3-6 of those hunts are 0 money but then I get lucky and get a silver box

If the oasis has not been hunted in too recently, you will get the full value of your hunt based on time and quantity of soldiers. If it has been hunted in too recently, you will automatically get 0 money.
