Re: People with multiple expert accounts

I believe this is true, some experts on 3+ servers have hard times sometimes maintaining their responsibility as well as they should but they do work hard. Having an expert on a server that already has one expert title on another means more experience for a newer server. Plus the experienced expert can teach the newer ones.

O I agree completely I have had both types one with and one without. The transition is so much smoother with the expert It helps everyone and helps lower spam and the breaking of rules.

Re: People with multiple expert accounts

Ok this is probably gonna sound quite bitter... But I don't really mind that I haven't got expert. I'd just like to say a lot of "import experts", the ones brought in at the start of a server, are on for a few days, maybe a week, then never come on WC again. I've seen one (V1per) who got into top 10 rank and maintained it, but I only saw him once or twice on WC. I was extremely active, and most ppl were commenting on his lack of activity. He also muted me without warning for something I thought was perfectly acceptable and within the rules. Can't remember what now.

Also, experts on other servers are much more likely to be expert on a new server than other ppl, in my experience. A lot of times I've seen very knowledgable, helpful, friendly, fun ppl (yes, including me on a few servers) get many nominations but in the end a less well known, and less deserving (IMO) person gets it, because they are expert on another server. But now I've discovered the trick of getting expert. So listen up. You can't have fun, or allow anyone else to have fun. It's a big no-no. So now you're warned :)

EDIT: I hope I've not just been unlucky in the servers I've been on lol

You probably didn't receive the letter on s82 that said they didn't have time to select experts due to inquiries about 3.0 and was why I was brought in ... did you?

They sent out letters to a couple of people in s82 (as said above by me) and they only put me there because they were busy with answering questions at 3.0 and couldn't select experts due to limited time

When I was first expert that did not apply. I had fun all the time (I still do with RIDDLES :D) (btw being an expert is a privilege. You are not required to have fun or prohibited to have fun. Please keep that in mind)

Re: People with multiple expert accounts

sky really has a great point. Even the experts can still have fun:) also if you want to be expert I've learned you have to normally chat while as needed answer questions even if it means posting 3 or 4 times on the new servers cause of chat lag ppl missing answers new player ect. And as hero stated the game just ist about the great big expert sign. Its about playing haypi for fun even if you want to go for expert thats a great goal and one I have yet even though I havent gotten expert I still try to stay polite moderate chat and help the experts:)

Lol! This post reminded me of one of mine from a bunch of months ago...
The secret of being an expert unveiled:

Taem96 wrote:I have been playing haypi for many moons, and on many servers....
In my experience, I have noticed several trends in how support selects their experts. They are, but not limited to, as follows:

1)always be sure to point out when people are breaking chat room rules, and hound the offender(s) relentlessly about it.

2)try and play on as many servers as possible so as to not give the impression that you will devote your time to the server you are an expert on.

3)you should be an adolescent, easily impressed by support, and what they wish you to do and say.

4)be sure that support knows you will police world chat vigorously for any user you can censor. Also, make sure they understand you will stop helping new players as soon as you become an expert, and spend your time telling people they've posted in the wrong thread on forums.

If you follow these steps, I'd say you are on a sure path to joining the haypi elite, and becoming an expert!

Re: People with multiple expert accounts

Lol taem, I guess I'm the exception to your findings Since I suggest

1. Never constantly hound offenders without a title as they won't like it and know that you have no power so will do it just to annoy you making chat worse for all.
2.3 servers lmao
3. Impressed by support... Pffft they do a good job but have many flaws including not being 24/7 support.
4. Police the forums. Lol what's the point unless your a mod it's just pointless as most people check the forums only once or twice in there haypi lives. Seems noobish to me, as for police wc seems if you befriend them rather than control them it works out for the better
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

Re: People with multiple expert accounts

There is a lot involved in the expert selection process but showing expert quality like warning or sending PAL msgs when an offender is acting up on WC also gives you a lot of shine in the eyes of experts or support. Remember the recommendation of an expert goes a very long way just like any other job.

Also try to msg support with any ideas you may have or any ss of offensive offenders. Also lately from what I've heard there is an age limit in effect for the expert selection process so if you are not 18 it is very unlikely that the title will be bestowed upon you

Helpful forum posts are also a great help in the consideration since they want to be able to judge your personality. Also make sure you have PAL so you can msg with them if the time ever came. O and try not to go to every single server asking to be expert since it won't look good. Don't ask experts "Hey do you think I deserve expert" "Hey should I be expert?" its honestly quite annoying and more than likely the expert will ss it and send to support so you can be disqualified.

When speaking with support dont be adolescant but at least be respectful, show you care about the game, and of course report any rule breaking

PM me if you have any more questions :)
