This 'Fail Whale' Thing

I noticed a few times today for the first time. Actually it happens alot, never realized that it was the shape of a whale.

You cannot limit this post to 5,10 or 20 minutes.
At what point do you draw the line? After the 5th person posts it? Or the 10th?
What about when they're muted for spam yet the first few aren't?

There's no way around these kind of posts but to snuff them out completely, or allow them.

It's not an issue on s9... don't ever really see it spammed and I don't think it's offensive in any way... Saw it for the first time last night and thought the guy who posted it made it himself! I actually asked him... and now I feel like an idiot... lol

I personally like the design of whale which is very creative and cute and I understand most of players post it one by one just for fun.

But we should try not to annoy others with such things and if this keeps happens the chat will be out of order and players can not see the normal chat content. So please think twice.

the "fail whale" is now on s12 too...

this will fail thing had spread to s3 and s12. ppl are seen spamming it. i suggest that it be banned or otherwise instamute. otherwise ppl will follow suit and it will be very difficute to moderate chats

I hate the fail whale. Hate hate it hate it. However, rules can't be based on te likes and dislikes of experts. I believe a whale every 20 minutes is appropriate. The fail whale is stupid and pointless. I don't understand te humor in it.

Like i said in the other thread, Vayne's instamuting did it's work.. haven't seen it for a few days, so what i propose for the other servers is - instamute serial offenders, and give the rest 1 warning.. A 1 whale per day per player seems alright, as long as they aren't posted within 5-10 minutes of another players whale..
