Why ignore this question?
Because it's offensive and personally aimed...

Great, I never said they were high.

.jlo. wrote:You flat out said "there are at least 14 total workers" in reference to PVP. I'm telling you that's WRONG. And it is high. Maybe if you include the janitor that sweeps the dust bunnies off the data center floor.
I said that there were at least 14 workers in Haypi, those are the Supports and Thomas.

You said before operational costs were not high, and now that I agree with you suddenly change your position...?

.jlo. wrote:My point was basically that the money people spend in PVP FAR exceeds the prizes given out. Ever since they released the enhancement of items, the money spent has obviously increased even more. However, the last two competitions have had much less participation. I think that if the staff re-evaluates it's prize layout, more people will participate and as such, spend more money on coins.
And I already suggested maybe they could base it off how much they need in profit for each PvP specifically.

Of course they would, why would they do different? I was simply offering my 2 cents about how to better increase player participation, offer better prizes, and increase profitability.
And I'm just somewhat agreeing with the suggestion and offering my own "2 cents" in modifying it a little bit. ;)

A) There's no way of knowing the amount of money they make in a PvP unless you work for Haypi or have hacked into the game.

Sure, there's no way of knowing. However, with the scout reports now showing enhancement levels, I can give a minimum number of coins spent on enhancements. Also, I've played enough of these to give a conservative estimate of coins purchased for top 6 bro trust me.
I'm sure you haven't scouted every person who's paid some money in 1 PvP, that would be almost physically impossible. And I can't say I can deny your experience for the top 6 bit. ;)

Arythy wrote:B) I already pointed out why they need profit, if they spent as much money on prizes as they made from the competition, then the econimical purpose of the competition would be gone.

Meh, not sure I agree. Even if they break even, which they won't do........I think it would generate interest that people would spend more on normal servers. That's beside the point, I never suggested they not make a profit.
It would generate interest, I'm sure, but Haypi has its own ideas about how much profit they want to and need to make.

Yes, I've scouted every person on the map. Several times. That is sort of how you win, scout and find troops.

you need achievement points to join. Most likey About 90-110 for the next one.

To play: log out and go to Start pvp.

A new pvp starts about every 15 days.

Also for more info look in --->> Help tab ---->> Support --->>> Pvp.

Re: PVP Suggestion

I don't think prizes would change player participation at all. PVP has a bad rep as playground for feeders. It is also very unlikely a non-coin spender will ever place at the top so many players are discouraged from trying at this point. Factor in all the players who quit the first week due to their army being wiped and PVP becomes pretty stagnate.

While I commend jlo for his success, he (and few other top players) is also killing PVP as it has become predictable who will place in the top 10.

That's exactly why the population of it decreases. Cheaters/feeders always deter fair players from playing.. Not only that, the fact that buying coins during pvp also give non-coin spenders no chance at all.

Honestly, I couldn't agree more - nevertheless the fact that this happens on REGULAR servers drive more players away - what's more - players even BRAG about it on WC and PAL...

On another note - one nice thing to see would be 2 pvp servers - 1 for coiners and 1 for non-coiners.... seeing this once would be extatic

Re: PVP Suggestion

Yeah a non-coin spender pvp would be nice. And to even keep up with the revenue of the prizes of the second pvp, a entry fee could instead be initially charged and grant all players with the same amount of coins on each account (3,000 maybe?) Though to do this, they would only have to allow 1 account per IP/device address. I know this wouldn't stop feeding for good, but at least it will minimize it to a good standard so that support can easily catch anyone who is attempting to feed their way to victory.
