4k infantry and 2-3k cav - I have three groups with this setup running three seperate hunts.
Minimum of 2 hours and maximum of 6-9 hours
Money - average 3-5k per hunt
3 lvl 8 rings
3 gold nuggets
1 level 4 sword
2 level four rings
1 level five ring
1 level 3 key
2 level 3 chests
and TONS of level one and level two items

Just my experience in hunting. Location, level of oasis and how often it has been farmed gives different results. I never hunt with cats or archers. IMO I have never seen results worth using those two types.

Wow a friend of mine just hunted for around 62hrs with 401 infantry and got 11483 money!! :O

I got a gemstone the other day and sold it for 100k-ish plus my 11k-ish hunt right after from my other city. lv 16 with only 1 sub sucks or i'd have more hunts.
For the Gemstone hunt, I had approximately: 16k cav and 25k inf hunting in either a lv 4 or 6 un-owned oasis for approximately 12 hours. 60 fortune(including ring). max speed tech, max speed attribute, max equips.

Highest money hunt i've seen is 24k-ish (slightly higher) from either masterboo or masterori. Don't remember which one. I believe masterboo brags of having 115k cav even though i've seen him with 10k cats and about the same amout infantry as cats. Might be difficult to feed all of that. ZZZZZZZZ's??? O_o

As for ranged. I agree that they aren't very good on hunts. (because of bad speed) That doesn't mean that they will never bring home a decent hunt though because i've seen it. Back when I had a mostly catapult army and NO cavalry and not more than 10k infantry, I was able to get 12k plus hunts. I had about 30k+ cats then though, split between my, at the time, 5 cities. I put all of my ranged on hunt together. Except my archers bc I normally have too many of them to have in one city for too long. The fact still remains that I don't criss-cross my hunts aka ranged and melee.

I just want something that I can sell and get a lot of money.

Ive heard you need the amount of infantry the npc cost of treasure is in order to hunt it, for example a nugget is 5,000 npc if you hunt with 5,000+ infantry you can get a nugget can anyone verify this?

the best i got was a lvl 8 ring and that was with about 2k inf before i learned about troops starving lol the next best was about 2k money

Richt now, Im hunting with 150k inf. and training some more.
I've heard, than u need ~155k inf hunting for 8-10 hrs to hunt a scepter. I need 3 scepters to lvl up, but there is no way to get them on the market, cuz ppl don't want to trade them- only with their alliance members.
It's getting so confusing. I've already a lot of treasure stuff but the best was a gem. And i did some weird experiences. Since i have over 100K inf. my hunting results went down (I had unsuccesfull hunts every second day). Now I resetted my attribute points to 100+10 fortune and 57+23 speed and I'm hoping to be able to hunt a scepter ot at least a medal.
Can anyone help me and give me some advices? Is there anyone who has hunted a scepter before?

btw it's really har to keep an army of 150k-200k alive. I put them in one city only when I'm not sleeping so that i can feed them every 2-3 hrs. and I lost 63k inf cuz I checked my crop about 2 mins too late

Got a medal yesterday which is my best so far. . .9.5 hours with 25k cav. . .mostly I get mid level items or 10k+ gold

I've gotten nuggets a few times.. for like a week.. Recently majority of my hunts are unsuccessful So I've started splitting them up again.
Did get 10K money with 2K infantry for 19 hours though
