Defend your City - Best Strategy

Hi again people,

My question is simple. What is the best set up for a city to defend against other players?

Which is the best strategy?

I have tried several, only turrets, only traps, a combination of both.

I also tried to let a lot of troops, to leave just a few.

The situation is this. I have a guy around here that everytime I get off line to sleep, he attack me with no possibility of command my troops into battle to defend my cities and oasis. This is a good strategy for him because his looses are really low and eventhoug he did not get a lot of resources, because I leave just a little, he stole from me prestige. I have notice that as much troops as I left more prestige I lose. Anyone can tell me if this is right?

Unfortunately, and for now, he is more powerful than me so I am trying to minimize loses because as you all now it takes huges efforts (and everything else) to built the troops, and no said to built the turrets and traps.

Any ideas?

The answer is simple, before you go to bed either upgrade to use your resources or put them on the market. If you want to keep your resources however you can put your resources on the market at a super high price so nobody will buy them, in the morning just take them off the market and your good to go!

Also the most IMPORTANT thing to know about this game is to hunt your troops before you go offline, so if your attacked you won't lose any troops/prestige (unless they crop you).

So you confirm my point of view about resources and troops,

but what about turrets and troops? Do we need to spend money, resources and time to built them or the result would be the same in you have none?

Take your time to build up an army. No point getting wiped everytime
