Where the hell are the Admins?

There is thread after thread talking about how this or the other doesn't work, and it seem like the only replies are from other players. Is Haypi staff reading this stuff at all? It would be nice to get a response even if they can't give a solid time line. Right now 3.0 simply does not work on WP7 for new players (there is a workaround if you have more than one city.) Are you there Haypi? do you even know about this? I put the following review on the windows market place:
"It's a cool game, but it is being poorly developed. Go ahead and play for free, but DON'T buy any coins. The game is totally unreliable. Lots of people have lost their time and money to bugs and crashes."

I'm glad to see that it is still the first review in list. By the way, when I installed 3.0 it did not find my old account, but gave me a new one. When I try to log in to the old one it says the password is wrong- so for all intents and purposes- my account was deleted when 3.0 came out.

Re: Where the hell are the Admins?

admin frequently responds on these forums, as well as every email or ingame letter i have ever sent them. in fact, just last night, tracy posted responses to at least three threads here in general discussion.

I think the problem you see and are not fully understanding, is that many of these posts are repeat topics as well as being posted in the wrong discussion group entirely...for instance....the innumerable bug report posts youve been seeing lately should not be in general discussion, but the group aptly titled, 'bug reports'. because of this, i think you can fully understand why the admins wont take time to answer each and every one of these repeat posts, especially when the answers can usually be found with a simple search of these forums. after all, they have better things to do, im sure than repeat themselves over and over. like fixing these problems youve mentioned for instance! :lol:
therefore, i believe it is the strong and generally patient community of users who are replying to these posts (as you pointed out) rather than the admins because these people have experience not only with the game, but in dealing with the support staff as a whole.
ever since this game was created, i feel the development team strove to create a friendly and helpful community atmosphere on these forums to enable players to help themselves and others. personally, i believe theyve had success in this area.
Your review is quite accurate, however, i must admit, it is a bit biased. it is always best to be not only constructive in your criticisms, but open minded to other sides of the story, of which there is always one.
likewise, using harsh language on these forums as well as in real life, is generally frowned upon and looked at as a sign of immaturity and/or a general inability to articulate. because of this, it would behoove one to refrain from even the mildest of swears when trying to make a constructive criticism or inquiry.
furthermore, id like to let you know, that in the past, support has been quite vigilant about making reperations for the kinds of things you mentioned...i.e losing coins and troops through system glitches. the best and most effective way to get a response is to email the support staff, not post in these forums.

EDIT:

this game has been a successful iphone game for over a year and a half now. it has only been recently developed for the android devices. while it is understandable that an android user would be extremely upset over the plethora of issues plaguing the game on those phones, i would like to ensure you that from experience with this game, i would bet cold hard cash that the support staff IS in fact doing everything they can to fix the problems and increase the performance of the game to a par with the iphone version.

btw....why didnt you just buy an iphone? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Re: Where the hell are the Admins?

To Team96,
sigh... there is are always calm level-languaged groupies like you that defend against any and all criticism...
===
"admin frequently responds on these forums, as well as every email or ingame letter i have ever sent them. "

Good for you, but if you read others' experience you will see that yours is unusual.
===
"I think the problem you see and are not fully understanding, is that many of these posts are repeat topics as well as being posted in the wrong discussion group entirely..."

I have looked in the bug report threads and they are the same. Posts about problems and questions about time line with nothing but long lists of players replying to the effect of: "yah, same thing here, I've gotten no response to my emails..." etc,.
===
"because of this, i think you can fully understand why the admins wont take time to answer each and every one of these repeat posts, especially when the answers can usually be found with a simple search of these forums. after all, they have better things to do, im sure than repeat themselves over and over. like fixing these problems youve mentioned for instance! :lol:"

A project like this has (should have) different people to handle QA and PR and Dev work. The QA/PR team does not need to reply to every thread. A simple locked top post of known/acknowledged bugs with a rough time line to fix would do allot to ease the tension.

I am well aware, as it happens I'm a QA professional. I have been the lead QA on an MMOG project and I believe this project deserves criticism. It is very hard not to go to release with out major bugs- specially when you are low budget. There are three main reasons this can happen,
One: The idiots upstairs want to make money now, and are forcing a release to soon.
Two: The bug, while being severe, occurs only under odd circumstances.
Three: The bug occurs consistently, but only with an obscurer hardware/software configuration.
With this Free to Play model Haype doesn't have the often good excuse of being forced to push a release. And as for reason two and three? Getting stuck 100% of the time on the loading screen is not an odd circumstance, and not working on two of the three OS's is not an obscurer configuration.

As far as I can see they released an App that- if it had been Beta tested at all- would have quickly shown itself to simply not be playable almost 100% of the time on 2 of the 3 platforms it was made for. I'm a fellow QA dev, I know how hard it is to do this stuff, and I still can find no compassionate explanation for letting this out the door.

"Tracy posted on at least 3 threads in general discussion last night"

I spent less than an hour and probably made 20x the posts she did, and mine weren't telling everyone to have patience

Re: Where the hell are the Admins?

I have to agree with qsxfthnko on this one. Like him, I'm the head of mobile QA at my company and it is very apparent that this update was not ready to be released.

There isn't just one major bug in this update, there are probably a dozen. While I understand the difficulties in development, Haypi needs to know they majorly messed up. This update didn't just introduce minor defects, these are critical items that completely affect the game.

Ultimately the blame should be placed on Thomas as he seems to be the person in charge. It is his responsibility to make sure each update is successful.
