Re: Cavs
Yes it is possible mono armies can work well and if you have your stat points distributed correctly you can have a very powerful cav army
you would need 25-30k cavs per city so at lv 13 you would have 125k cavs when total
that can wipe most armies and can travel across the map very fast.
cav armies are even better when paired with archers for a cav/arch combo but if your doing a mono army then cav or inf is where its at

Re: Cavs
I wouldnt recomend a mono unit army in a battle, because they are VERY easy to be wiped.
However, bring in 45k cavs and send 15k at a time to farm resources is a good use of a mono army, cuz its mainly just labor forces.
Heres why it wouldnt work all the time, say you had 100k cav and someone had 40k cats, you attack them with 0/100000/0/0 and they defend with 1/1/1/40000... They bring all units forward and to get through to the cats you have to kill 3 seperate units while taking 3 hits from those cats. When you finally do get through to the cats the cats move backward and dont get hit... So you get hit 6 straight turns or so, wiping your army while they take virtually no losses.
However, a mono cav army can also take an army of 0/0/0/40k with no losses, but the big catch is they have to be offline... Or a horrendous commander

Re: Cavs
nick got it exactly right if there are other types of troops and heave amount of cats you have to either be catching them of a hunt with just 1-2 types or offline. In a schedule battle you would be screwed. I myself tried it out, I topped off at 280K caves. I had max defense and max speed of course. It hell effective but with certain istances would walk away with 0 prestige if the deffender was commanding as if they had turrets would just pause and wait it out, letting me get hit few times before i wiped them, theyre good to have as are very quick, if your server has a lot of players just using caves i recomend it as most ppl farm with caves so you can cach alot of ppl while farming... and since they only have cave out you will wipe em for sure. Good luck.
