Becoming an expert

Exaclty how do you become expert? I'm not talking about what should you do if you want to be expert. Does support tell you, "Hey! you are now expert!" *POOF*." or something?

Yup. I would assume that they add the new Expert's name to a certain place (or places) in the game coding that give the player chat-moderating abilities.

It's or was a little more complicated than that, but you would know if you have it coming. It is something that is more of privilege for the active player.

I woke up one day, posted in my ac and went "oh my gosh! this is why i have 8 mails from tim and him spam attacking me on the other server while i got some shut eye"

Yeah, I've heard that in the past they just bestowed it with no advance notice. Not sure how it is now...

It depends a little on the support you have.
Before coming expert support will almost always ask you a few questions about yourself to make sure your right for the job (Even if your expert in other servers). The questions include: Age, time playing haypi, if your expert in other servers, what servers you are on, etc. If this is your first time support (Most the time) will give you the "Expert Agreement" which is the rules each expert must follow.
And thats about it. After all that wait about 2 mins and your a expert!
I'm not sure if it was only me but my muting powers came before my expert title...

I didn't get any word from support. After about 2 weeks I messaged to double check about any specific rules I was to follow and information like that or if I should just follow what I've seen other experts do in the past. Then I got the agreement. It was a really hectic time though for our server with the hackers and spammers always on wc and shutting down the server and such so I'm sure it was busy for our support.

In the past it was more like *poof*

I remember they accidentally gave expert to the wrong guy once on S2. lol He was expert for an hour or so, then it got removed. Haha. He was pretty ticked!
