At what point did Haypi forget about Haypi Kingdom?

With all the new Haypi games that have been released, it appears as though Haypi has forgotten about the game that made them popular. Every so often they will release a bug update, but for the most part nothing has changed since the 3.0 update. (which only created a seldom played sub-game).

Thomas has long gone silent regarding plans for the game and long time loyal players have left due to the game becoming stagnate. Not a single suggestion has been implemented since city-warping and that was 2 years ago (give or take a few months).

Server merges are mildly fun for a few days after protection wears off and you can catch a few abandoned armies left out (which is sad that you are battling players that have essentially quit).

I've been a pretty loyal player since the S3 days, but it's getting very tough to stomach this game considering Haypi itself doesn't seem to care about it any more.

Agreed. Servers die pretty fast since there isn't much to do. Unless you count farming inactives as something to do.

Alliance wars was a suggestion...
Merging already merged servers was a suggestion...

For me, haypi was never about the game-play, it is about the people.
So, even as players quit, new people join. In a way, it is always changing. That part never gets old.

Re: At what point did Haypi forget about Haypi Kingdom?

Well said link. Those updates were suggested by many, many people and it seems so many forget or ignore that fact. As for the game being seldom played, I don't know about that..... Crop on my server is at .13 per unit and people on my server have been playing longer than anyone else in the game. The number one player has gained several hundred thousand prestige in the past two weeks as well, so there's plenty of armies to kill, especially considering that I know plenty of others still earning pres. In fact, I have been attacked by several armies numbering in the -1million crop deficit range within the past three weeks so in my eyes, there's still plenty of interest in the game. Why, even you still play on some level, even if it's just a forum post....for many, the game is about exactly that, communication within the community here in haypi kingdom. As far as I know, people still dl the game and fill new servers, so in light of this, I feel your comments are a bit unfounded.

I will concede that it seems us here in the kingdom don't get as much attention as we once did. I remember fondly the days where we were encouraged to express ourselves and rewarded for our efforts; events like the write a review, or haypi in reflection, not to mention the logo design competition. But I hardly think it fair to say the kingdom is being ignored. Don't forget how people pined for more pvp after no comp for months....lo and behold, more pvps and even a new one started yesterday (I shouldn't need to add that ipads and other nifty prizes are given away to winners).

Don't kid yourself and others. The kingdom is where the money is at, and everyone knows it.

yes taem good post, however i feel haypi are slightly to blame for the way players feel. Always a lack of information from Thomas downwards about new updates until it's released. Just something for long term big players to look forward to once in a while would be nice. But bigger players will keep on calling it a day until something is done to give bigger players goals to work towards.

True, players for a long time asked for alliance wars. I don' t think a single person on the forums meant the alliance wars that was delivered to us.

Looking at the alliance map, all the top alliances have level 5 mines which I'm guessing are being refreshed by alts. There doesn't seem to be many battles as no one wants to lose their large army that probably cost a lot of coins to make.

I'd still argue that Haypi has completely disregarded the suggestions forum. Take a look at Thomas' suggestion compilation list and you'll realize that few to none of them have ever been implemented.

Exactly my point. Haypi should focus on HK to continuously revitalize the player base.

As for the comment about the #1 player obtaining hundreds of thousands of prestige. Many alts can net you that much each week. I know Haypi went on a banning spree some time ago, but I still see people in PVP with 6 alt accounts.

I'm sure those players also have alt accounts in their normal servers that simply feed pp to them all week long. It would be difficult to determine the number of actual battles vs feeding, so this is just a complete assumption on my part.

This is another completely baseless remark. It's very poor form to accuse someone of cheating, considering you have no evidence of that whatsoever.
Like I said, I've seen a plethora of huge armies upwards of 100k cav and a ton of small ones as well lately. My server is very active and if you scout efficiently, you will not want for prestige.

I myself was victimized for 80k recently and I can assure you I was definitly not trying to feed the victor.

Additionally, on a server where multiple players have 20million+ prestige, and the top rank sits at 50 million prestige, I'm sure there have been plenty of investigations into cheating. And contrary to what you said, it is quite easy for a system manager to determine if a player is illegally feeding with a brief check of server logs.

I don't wish to go off topic, this shouldn't be about cheating, but my point is many more players than you would think are still active and plugging away....buying coins and building troops. To argue this is moot as you can see evidence of it if you observe your leaderboards everyday.

Players may leave and may they feel justified in doing so, but they will be replaced by new players, who will rise in rank in their own right. Even a merge with a much older server cannot prevent this.

Re: At what point did Haypi forget about Haypi Kingdom?

I have to throw in my coin. Since I joined Haypi Kingdom in April 2010 A lotz changed.
The big changes have been:
- new layout
- servers merge
- enchancement system
- alliance wars

There have been made also not so obvious changes, even tho the updates mainly said 'bug fixes'

- changes in the mute amount for experts
- changes in the market system
- performance
- new account quest
- username change
- 5 accounts per ID
- VIP at 2nd Civilian
- etc etc

There are alot of changes which are made, I also forgot about some. You cannot expect Haypi Inc. to bring out a new enormous update every 3-6 months. I myself helped in the German translation (which is outdated now tho because of a lot of changes in the game). And it took me at least 12 hours.
ALSO DONT BLAME SUPPORT FOR NO CHANGES IN GAME (as a lot people do lol) Because support is the support not the development center
