Traps versus Turrets.

Two questions.

1: Is it better to have all Turrets or a mix of both Traps and Turrets on your city wall?

From the guides I'm to understand the consensus is to not build Turrets until you can build them to level 9, but when you do start letting Traps die (or if the answer to question 1 is to build a mix):

2: Does placement on the wall page make a difference?
Example: Does it matter if your field looks like

If u can max turrets then I would build just all turrets. 15 lvl 10 turrets do alot of damage to ppl without high speed and cavs. I dot think the placement matters.

In most effiency derived cases, people will avoid turrets until they are level 9 because at level 9 and 10 they always outrange catapults no matter what the shooting level of the player is.

(One of) The best strategy (or strategies) of building level 9/10 turrets is usually placing 4 in each row and 1 trap to verify that cavalry armies can not rush and destroy two rows at once.

cav can still destroy 2 rows of turrets..... if the traps are low level

I've seen infantry destroy two rows of traps in one turn as well but that's another story.

sure someone has asked this question on here before but i will give you the same answer

turrets level 9 and 10 are useful because they outrange the cats expensive in resources also, however with the 99 movement easily wiped out by cats.
if you have 15 level 10 turrets easily wiped also by a cav attack.

traps on there own are rubbish who ever tells you put wall full of all traps please dont listen to them inft just easily fill them.
( you can build traps until your tech on turrets is at level 10 )

my advise personally is a combination of traps and turrets in each row this will hold advancing cav armies especially in front of your turrets works wonders .

depends on your tactics.. if you can kill all the inf and blockers then traps can be devastating.... at least with traps you guarentee to kill something where as with turrets some can use the 99 trick in order to outsmart your turrets
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

the biggest thing for me, trying to figure, who is likely to attack you. as well as how has your server developed.

i usually just do all turrets, because if i dont think my troops are gonna win, i usually dont send them to suicide, then hope my turrets will win it all.

if you dont think you can win, hunt your troops. then let your turrets do what they need to do... deter people from attacking you.

either way you go, traps or turrets, its not gonna make you a legend. its just gonna help keep people from messing with you. i just recommend building all lvl 10 turrets, and saving the strategy for taking out their turrets.

It's best to upgrade turret tech to 10. if you can, make all your wall level 10 turrets. they take out more troops than level 10 traps will. it is costly, however, and depending on how fast you build, you may want to build some lower level traps to discourage people from attacking/farming as you build. when you can afford level 10 turrets, friends or acquaintances in WC may be willing to wipe your wall for you, so you can rebuild to all turrets.

also, a lot of players will leave 1 level 10 trap in each row of turrets. it is your choice.
