Beginners guide to awsumness
So you probably just started haypi and are wondering how this game works.
YOUR LEVEL
Click map and then the spot in the middle of the map is you. There is a number on the little square and that is your rank. Also the name of your level you could see by clicking on the General button on your city menu.
PRESTIGE
Your prestige is in essence, your exp. This is gained from completing task, upgrading buildings (the most give a main building and turrets), upgrading recourses, upgrading Turrets and traps and making soldiers. You can also gain prestige by attacking other people (I’ll explain more lately). You can lose prestige when you lose an attack. Prestige is used to upgrade your general level. The last way to gain prestige is by making defensive buildings in your wall and upgrading techs.
MONEY
This is your standard money and is used to buy resources, treasures, and upgrade techs. You could get money from hunting, selling on market, buying for coins.
RESOURCES
These are produced by your resource buildings. There is and hourly rate that your resources increase by. Crop hourly gain is consumed by troops. There are also people that are produced by your main building.
BEGINNING
In the beginning, all you have to do is follow the task. Once the task is completed, click on task, there is a button in the lower left hand corner which says reward. Click that button and you will receive rewards. Before clicking on Reward, be sure that your warehouse have place to putt all your Rewarded recourses, if not upgrade it first and only if its enough capacity click Reward. Otherwise you lost resources which will not fit into your warehouse.
Once you have enough prestige, you can upgrade your general level by completing the task. Some times, upgrading your general level requires additional items, like: nuggets, gemstones, sceptre and crown.
TASK HELP
My advice is to upgrade you warehouse a few times before rewarding your task as you will get a lot of resources from each task. Also, don’t reward your task until you need the resources because if resources are sitting around people tend to waste them. It doesn't matter what order you do each task but every time you reward a task, a new one appears until you have finished all the beginners’ task.
DAILY GIFT
You could find it in your Task menu.
Most commonly, you get money but you can get anything from this daily gift. You can only click it 24+ hours after you got your last one.
WAREHOUSE
This is and important feature as it contains all your resources; wood, stones, iron and crop. The max number detailed in the warehouse is for each individual resource. You can have as many of each resource as the number shows. Anything more and the extra resource will disappear (Remember it for the task, watch the warehouse before getting the task Rewards).
BATTLING
Once you reach lvl 4, you can start attacking other player’s cities. This is not advised until you have a good sized army. You will be able to control your troops in battles. You win by destroying all the enemies’ troops and defensive buildings (traps and turrets).
DEFENSIVE BUILDINGS
There are 2 types of defensive buildings, traps and turrets. The max level of each of these is defined by the level of your trap and turret tech. This is the best way to gain prestige if you have a lot of resources as they take a short amount of time to build and give a lot of prestige. The bad thing is that during a war, if your enemy attacks them or gets caught in a trap, the buildings lose a level so don't spend too many resources upgrading them.
You also could see how many of troops could kill at one shoot (or by passing) turret and the trap. Left upper corner. For example: 1st lvl turrets and traps – 2 soldiers; 2 lvl – 20 soldiers.
UPGRADING BUILDINGS
This requires resources. You upgrade the building by meeting the resource requirements. Then it takes an amount of time to upgrade. You can see what the upgrade will give you before upgrading. Upgrading of buildings also give you prestige.
That was all the beginning stuff. Now here is the more advanced stuff.
COINS
What to do with your coins...
One of the options is to get VIP time for a month but it is up to you on how to spend your coins, at least for a week.
I guess your first nuggets you’ll buy on your coins. But be wise, spend coins only then it’s really necessary.
If you player with money, so spend money and coins as much as you like and GOD BLESS YOU with spending money on Haypi.
OASIS
There is a set amount of oasis you can take according to your level (if anyone knows exactly please post). Oasis’s gives you extra resource output but requires troops to take. The resource it benefits is based on what kind of oasis it is.
Crop oasis - give crop, stone oasis - give stone etc. The higher lvl the oasis, the more output it gives, but it also is harder to take. The formula proven to show how many oasis you can occupy at one time is this. Your level divided by two, then round down. For example if i am lvl 9, 9/2= 4.5, round down to 4 and that is how many oasis u can take
TROOPS
There are 2 types of troops. Long range and short range. Long ranges are archers and catapults. These are good for attacking and taking oasis as they do not get hit by the other short range enemies. Short range troops are soldiers and cavaliers. These are good for hunting as they give the most money per troop (basically you could hunt only with this troops or split troops for two parties and send both for hunting). They are also good in battles because you can mob attack your enemy. The soldiers, cavalry and archers are easier to produce while the catapults are a lot more expensive to make.
TECHS
These are essential to becoming strong. There are numerous techs that each benefits a certain aspect of your strength. This is the place to increase your scouting ability, defensive building levels, and much more. They require only money and take time as well.
For good attack of archers (archs) and catapults (cats) you need to upgrade Shooting and attacking Techs. Don’t forget about Scouting (more high lvls give you a good tip about exact amount of troops and resources on scouting place) and Marching Techs (speed attack and speed to the place).
HUNTING
The best way to hunt is to send all your horses and soldiers for approx. 8-12 hours at a lvl 8 or hire oasis. Make sure you did not previously hunt there in the last 4 days. Horses are the best for hunting but soldiers are the cheapest to make. The rewards from hunting are based on how many troops you’re sent and for how long. You can get anything from hunting but your chances increase of getting better stuff with more troops sent. Money is the most common thing to get.
SKILL POINTS
Where should you put your skill point? Depends on what you want to do. Your fortune gives you extra stuff from hunts, speed is always good as you get to places faster; attack and defence affect you when you are battling or occupying an oasis or fort.
