People

When you transport materials from a city to another city the people usally dissapear. So what I was thinking, Lets say transport 10,000 resoucres from my main city to a sub, The 10 people that i used to transport would then appear inside my sub city. It would helpful and useful.

Re: People

Hi, people are consumed to transport resources. Because to transport requires overload.

Re: People

From a realistic point of view the OP makes sense. But you have to think about it from a gaming perspective. In a game, most things you do should have some sort of cost, otherwise it would make the game to easy. Like Vill said, Haypi is all about management. Deciding wether or not to spend a resource (workers in this case) is always a tactical decision, which makes up the core of this game.

Another problem with the idea is that you would have to have a cap on how many workers can be in a city at a time, otherwise players could mass 1 mill people in a city then coin a huge army nearly instantly.

The idea has merit, but I don't think it works with Haypi.

Re: People

I have to agree. Everything in the game consumes "workers". Think of it more as "manpower" and not actual people. You're not killing 130 people to build a building. You're using 130 man hours of labor to build the building. Same with resources. You're using your manpower to move them from one town to the next.

It might have some merit to consider basing transport from city not only on how many resources but also how far apart the cities are...

Re: People

for most people the difference would be negligable though muku
people spend their lives searching for the meaning of life, and fail to find it.

I know what their mistake is. There is not one but two meanings of life:

Re: People

I know plenty of people who put their cities at some distance apart. And the main reason was that it made more sense with the "manpower" idea.

Re: People

could you at least make the max button go to themax amount you can transport, not over that to the max amount you own? that kinda annoys me.
