Reworking Hidden Attack:

Any experienced player has most likely begun his career using many skill points on hidden attack. Understandably so, it seems like a great skill to be able to hit an opponent without his or her knowledge. Unfortunately most players also know by this point that Hidden Attack is too unpredictable and too unreliable to invest into, this is a fact. The shame is the potential wasted in Hidden Attack's use formula.

Instead Hidden Attack should be controllable. All other skills are active, they don't have a chance to happen. Presumably, the formula has a set percentage chance to happen over a period of time. The fact that it triggers against forts and oasis wastes these hidden attacks when we could actually make use of them.

Now obviously if Hidden Attack was always active this would be very powerful and every player would max it out. Instead Hidden Attack should be usable whenever we want to use it during a set period of time dependent on the level. Every point into Hidden Attack decreases the 'cooldown' by an hour all the down to 1 hour at 10th level. This way once per hour period you can choose when your attack will be hidden. While this would potentially decrease the number of hidden attacks attainable in an hour, the ability to control when your attack is hidden is much more valuable.

Also, there's a really bad bug with hidden command. Sometimes as the attacker I can't command a hidden attack till round 2, sometimes 3. That alone was reason enough to reset my skills because it's happened to me a lot.

Re: Reworking Hidden Attack:

i understand your distress ken. Me, having max hidden love when i get a successful hit only because of my hidden skill. I this cooldown has a down side though. I use coins to teleport and attack big amounts of prestige. This is why i dislike this idea. And haypi staff is trying to fix this bug.

Re: Reworking Hidden Attack:

That's the trade off that, in my opinion, is worth sacrificing. I do understand how it would be detrimental that strategy but but how often do you attack like that, multiple times per hour? If so then I'm envious of the activity of your server because my server is slowly dying.

1 hour doesn't have to be the time, it was just my suggestion. Perhaps since each new point added to a skill requires cumulative points then the decrease of the hidden attack could also have cumulative effect.

Additionally for heavy coin users a, albeit pricey, coin based force reset option could be a possibility if the level 10 cooldown was 1 hour.

Perhaps this could be a good time to generate ideas to try and fix a skill that's arguably the least useful.

Re: Reworking Hidden Attack:

i remember when i started, there is a green timer that indicate that i have a hidden attack on someone, but it is gone since the last few updates. haypi should put it back in. it is supposed to help u not harm u when u r attacking and forget the time while waiting for the attack to happened. the chance of hidden attack is around 30-40% and i would really think it help the cats army the most since it is the slowest and need the skill the most. perhaps they should look into it based on unit type that will trigger it the most since a slow unit should be stealthier.

Care to elaborate how? Simply saying it's a bad idea and not contributing doesn't really add much credibility to what you're saying.

I don't see it being overpowered at all, in fact it's more balanced giving us limited control over hidden attack. As it stands in theory, if you've read "Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead" you'd understand, you can certainly achieve 100 consecutive hidden attacks, which I think is more overpowered.

Again, I have to say players are far too concerned with reducing - no, Removing all risks involved with playing Haypi.

Players need to start looking the to new, not perfecting the old. A game with zero risk holds zero interest (at least, to me). I actually LIKE that I can sit there and think "please be hidden, please be hidden, please be hidden" as I attack someone sitting in chat with 20k+ troops home.
It adds excitement to the game that would otherwise be, well, non-existent.

Why does everyone wish for everything to be so easy?

Just my two cents. I still give your idea tonnes of credit, I just personally disagree.

Thanks, Adz
