Maybe read what i wrote again, cause thats not what i was saying at all.

Well thats^ what i read :?

Let me put the key word in caps for you. So starving troops beacuse u have no food is not stupid, no, and thats never what i was saying.

It doesnt make it any easier or harder to take a sub, it simply makes the causualties involved potentially higher. And just because its "basic" doesnt mean that it does not make sense.

Re: Takin Sub City

I'm probably wrong, but doesn't the game just say "lost city troops" when your crop reaches zero? I'm thinking they just deserted to fend for them selves rather than actually starve lol. Where do you think all those oasis defenders come from?

But seriously, this would probably be difficult to implement. As it stands now the coding adds or subtract your resource stockpile at a certain rate per hour and when it reaches 0 it immediately does what is necessary (deleting your troops) to put the production positive again. If you were given a "grace period," then that code would have to change to keep the resource stock displayed at zero (because a negative stockpile of food doesn't exactly make sense), while still keeping your production rate the same.
Anyway I probably didn't explain that well, and I am by no means a programer, but it would add more code which would slow the game down (I think). Not worth it IMO
