Super Merge :D

Ok so support there's no denying that this game is dying. You guys know that. Tons of servers need a merge that will kill off inactive players. So I'm proposing a super merge :D

A super merge will have no level requirement to get kicked off the server. Instead it will only have a last log on date. As in the past merges, the game can be restarted at level zero, same name, etc.

Super merge will take huge amounts of servers and combine them. here are some suggested groups:

Merge Group 1

89,90- to be server 150

91,92- to be server 151

93,94- to be server 152

95,96- to be server 153

97,98,99- to be server 154

117,118,121- First original 32 servers, to be server 129

119, 120- Originally 65-72, to be server 128

122,123- Originally 73-80, to be server 130

125, 127- Originally 81-88, to be server 131

124,126- Originally 33-64, to be server 132

150,151,152- Originally 89-94, to be 156

153,154- Originally 95-99, to be 157

128,130- Originally 65-80, to be server 133

129,132- Originally 1-64, to be server 134

131,156,157- Originally 81-99, to be 158

133,134- Originally 1-80, to be server 135

135,158- Originally 1-99, to be server 199 :) - Super server!

The new series of merges would start to take affect immediately, giving time for newer servers to start to die down. The proposed 150-152 merge (into 156) will take affect one week after server 154 is completed.

These are (mostly) in pairs to maintain server stability, so that servers don't start crashing due to so many merges or data overload.

New Series (600+):

600,601- Maintain into 701 1 month after closing of 601

602,603- Maintain into 702 1 month after closing of 603

604,605- Maintain into 703 1 month after closing of 605

606,607- Maintain into 704 1 month after closing of 607

701-704- Merge into 751 5 months after maintain of 606 and 607

Etc.

Also, a copy of these plans with approximate dates would be posted in our News Tower as a courtesy to players and keep them informed. If the dates were delayed there would be a notice sent in the news tower as well.

This might help increase activity. Not totally sure, but combined with a new extension of the game HK might be up and running again :)

Edit on 7/28/2012- Grammar issues, removal of daily task idea, converted all merges into pairs or triplets and edited numbering system. 89-99 is now listed with previous servers.

Approximate Schedule for 1-99

The 89-96 "maintains" are first priority (in numerical order)- they will each maintain one day apart.

After the new servers are almost stable, 1 week merge notice is sent to 119,120.

1 week after that, merge notice is sent to 122,123.

After that is deemed stable, maintain notices are sent to 97-99.

1 week after that, merge notice is sent to 125,127.

1 week after, merge notice sent to 117,118,121

1 week after, merge notice is sent to 124, 126

Two weeks after everything is deemed stable, merge notice is sent to 150-152.

We wait about one month for 153,154 merge notice

Merge notice is sent to 128,130 one month later

Two weeks later Merge notice is sent to 129,132

One week later merge notice is sent to 131,156,157

One month later, 133 and 134 get merge notice.

Wait about two or three months, then merge 135 and 158 to create server199!

Total length of time for process as of now- 1 year, 3 weeks

Debatable:

Time Frame- It may be too slow for some but too fast for support. I'm not sure about the mechanics of the game

Will ha's be allowed to enter the new merged servers like they have been?

A way to get account back:

If above X level (10) and does not meet requirements, account will be stored on a "storage server", possibly server 101 or another empty merged server. There will be a storage server support (one that loses a server or two to take care of once merges start) that will restore account progress onto the current server if a player becomes active. A system letter will be sent to players on the server telling them to contact support upon activity. The players would be set to permanent war refuse to avoid issues with staying there. All accounts under level X will be deleted as normal.

Amount of supports- there will have to be several supports on super server.

The idea will kill some things, such as mines and alliance rankings and size.

So there are some needed changes-

-Alliance mine map will be increased, with the same mine level ratio, to 40 mines in the first merge, 60 or 80 in the second, and Super Server will have 100 mine slots (maybe?). If there are a ton of slots, Mine levels will have to increase as well to add to competition. The levels will now go up to 10, each giving a set amount of pres per hour like normal.

The mines could be split up into separate maps, one containing lvl 1&2 mines, the other 3&4, another 5&6, so on. This will make navigation easier

And 100 is a little drastic, but think about it- there could be thousands of alliances on these big servers, even with the member extensions. There has to be a way to prevent upper alliances from wiping out everyone and bullying them off the top mines. It could be reduced to a lower number, support's choice

- The map size will now be 1200x1200

- Alliance size will be increased based on level of alliance. For some people, 50 members isn't enough. so at alliance level 0, you would have 50. Alliance level 1- 60.
2-70
3-80
etc.
This way, there will be fewer alliances competing for mines (and less memory for the server to store!) since many will merge with the additions, and there will be bigger armies, bigger armies means more feeding, more feeding means more money!

There would also be a change in alliance position system. There will be "Officer" slots available. The officer position will be able to accept members, but not reject or delete.

There should also be two "Co-Leader" slots, who can accept, reject, and delete members, officers, and vices. They can also promote members to officer or vice. They are chosen by leader.

Vice leader slots will remain at 5, but they can now appoint officers.

As a courtesy to players...

-the old alliance ranking should be implemented as well starting ASAP. There are many who like mines over pres, and many vice versa. This way, both parties will be happy.

-Anyone can send out alliance letter, not just vices etc.

-Leaders would also be able to resign from position without help from support and switch with another member/officer/co/vice of alliance

-There would be a date of last log on next to each players name

-There is an added automatic alliance merge option, where (with other alliance ok) all members are automatically joined into another alliance, if space allows. Members may have to be deleted if space is not open.

-You can save a copy of mail in your news tower so it isn't deleted

-There are "Friendly" and "Hostile" statuses. Friendly alliances will display blue on the map and cannot be attacked. Hostile alliances will display black on the map. A list of hostile and friendly alliances will be available upon pressing alliance options or managament


Space will also be an issue. The new super server will be extremely profitable, but large investment to allow space and prevent crashing will be required on support's end. To install this, the company might be in the red for a bit, haven't looked up how much these sort of things cost. But as Villan said, it will bring back a competitive spirit to players. This new spirit will mean more money spent, more activity, and more profit for haypi.

Some simple tips that might peak interest again that other people have suggested and wouldn't hurt to add:

Tats idea- man I think this is one of the most well known topics in suggestions. It has a lot of people from a lot of people and adding a rename option wouldn't be too hard.

Population farming- I know there are a lot of moral concerns to selling and buying population, but for people who get the resources but not the population, 639 an hour won't cut it. So I propose that when you farm, you should take some "prisoners" to work in your city. That's how it works in real life right? An alternative would be to dispatch population to other cities as well.

New troops- pikemen, knights, cannons, long bowmen- all haypi style soldier types that could diversify armies and peak that interest and money back up

New wall defenses- archer towers, ballistas, Scorching sand, boiling water even! Add a row of defenses and these and that would be awesome.

New techs- with new improvements should come new techs. Increase warehouse space and cranny size, add techs to allow wall defenses listed above, to increase overload on troops, to lower cost of training troops, and techs to increase attack for wall defenses. Tech series II to only be started after original techs are at a certain level or above?

New achievements- with new stuff should come new achievements. You guys are creative or else you wouldn't have been able to do so well with this game.

Individual Contributon Awards- Lovely toilet seats you give us to show off how much we give to our alliance. But is there any way that we could get bonuses for reaching a certain amount of honor? (I.e. coins or prestige)


More levels!- have to love this suggestion. Too many level twenties in my opinion. It stinks u can go down to no tasks at that point.

Please comment any add ons or changes!

Only deleted if you didn't log on after a certain date... Only people who didn't log in would have that issue

look a super merge on a 1200x1200 etc style map would be awesome, most big players agree we strive for competition and sadly on older servers it's just not there anymore.

But not at the cost of starting again from scratch, it's just to expensive and frankly we are set in our ways!!!!

1200x1200 it is.... So are you suggesting level X be ten? Not hard to get to so not a ton to lose....
