A way to revive the Market from the "great depression?"

OK, so I think I have come up with a way, which may be flawed, to help with the depression in the market that is going on in many servers.

For example in Server 4, stone is almost impossible to sell as everyone sells for the minimum price, which is 0.01. Making a sell to NPC option for resources would mean no one would sell for minimum on the market anymore because they could just sell to NPC. This would mean they would try to get it sold at 0.02 which would enable people to get more money for their resources.

However, the price fo the sell to NPC must be reasonable and at a certain margin under the minimum price in the market, so to stop people from keeping on lowering their prices to meet lowering demands. This would also mean a greater demand for resources as resources would be going out of the system when sold to NPC (although this may be cancelled by the money coming in to the system.)

Another option would be to be able to sell for more precise prices. Say for example everyone in the market may be selling iron for 0.03, so being able to sell for 0.28 would mean not losing out on too much money if you want to get your resources sold straight away and still providing the buyers with cheaper resources.

I doubt these ideas are perfect, but they just might be able to help.

Market goes low due to 5 people posting lower them it just turns to everyone posting lower if they made lowest a little higher it would all work out.

But if the lowest was a bit higher then everyone would just sell for the new lowest, which still means no one can get their resources sold.

The only way I can think of is a greater demand for resources.

selling reacorces to NPC has been suggested before and will get abused by higher lvl players by just selling reacorces giving them an umlimited amount of money. As when u get to a higher lvl reacorces are easy to come by

The market price range is determined by the average prices. What's worse is it's the average price that gets SOLD. With everyone undercutting and buyers always buying stuff at the lowest price possible, the only way to raise the price would be to get several alliances to sell to each other for higher than market prices for a while. They'd need to do this somewhat consistently to KEEP the prices up though. :)
I believe that the market prices were set up to be into a permanent depression. It's possible to save the market, but rather difficult to do consistently. :(

New players. Encourage Haypi developers to advertise and get new players. Also, Haypi members, encourage friends to join. Can the devs get Haypi on an Apple commercial? :D

If supply is greater than demand prices will drop. If demand is greater than supply, prices will rise. It's the same way any market economy operates.

Npc on stuff would be abused but a price floor set by the game would be a good idea!:)

They need to sort out the stupid resource depreciation (oasis dropping 1 level a day) before they put a price floor in.

Price floor should be "sell to NPC" price plus a bit.

And what's with taxing sales at the market? That's just insane. I pay enough tax irl, don't want my in-game market trades taxing as well thanks very much.
