Scout Fail(New General Skill)

I feel that the addition of a skill that would cause scouts to give inaccurate data from time to time would be a really nice addition to the five general skills currently available. I thought there were really two ways you could go with this. I will post the two ideas I had and you guys can comment on which one you like better or propose some changes to either plan.

OPTION 1: Basically this would cause a scout report to come back with info similiar to the results you would get if you scouted someone who was too high a level for your scout skill. This ability would upgrade similiarly to the hidden attack skill and increase the chance of ruining someones scout attempt for each level you upgraded it. Maybe it would start with a 3% chance and go up by 3% each level.

OPTION 2: This way would mess up scouts by giving them what looks like accurate resource and troop data but really the computer just randomly picked some numbers and included them in the report. Of course your scouts would have to be high enough for the level that you scouted and if they were not maybe the data you get from scouting too high levels could lie too. Example being instead of saying dozens of it would say scores of. This option would upgrade the same as option one upgraded.

I honestly don't like this idea. It defeats the purpose of scouting.

Agree. People won't even bother upgrading Scout Tech, and I'm sure a lot would leave.

I think you should need "scouts" to scout. Not randomly just instantly know what the enemy has. So you could have scout slots as well as attack slots etc.

I think it would add a new element of difficulty to attackers and also if it still a problem the degree at which the percent goes up each time you upgrade it could be reduced to two or one

I like it.

I think having low fortune (ie, low luck) could be a good reason for recieving false scout info.
Who knows, if you're not lucky your troops might get lost along the way, or sidetracked and forget the correct numbers.

Should be a morale thing too. Like if you leave your troops hunting for days and don't do any actions within your city, the morale drops and your troops become unreliable for scouting info.
Ooooh and if it's really low your troops could even desert (naturally just a percentage) to a nearby neighbours city where the troops are auto added to their barracks.

Hrmm, I'm getting carried away again! :lol:

I already have a hard enough time not killing my troops. Now your just making it hard...
