If someone suggests something, it is the devs job to evaluate it and see what they cando to limit consequences.
Re: Please Fix Move City
It costs 40 coins to move next you and move away. If you don't keep large amount of troops lying around In your city then I doubt they would spend the money to teleport next to you. I don't think it to be that big of an issue to be honest.
Re: Please Fix Move City
I have never seen this happen but have heard about it. I agree that it would be be good to have restrictions but as before it wasn't haypi idea to put it in it was alot of people on the forums. And you have to think if they change it it might be hard coding. The coding that I do is hard enough and I'm making a simple tank game not a online multiplayer. Just saying I agree with both sides of the story
Everyone loses sight in the simple things in life like for example when you are annoyed at someone it takes 42 muscles to frown but it only takes four to raise your fist and smash that ****** in the face lol
Re: Please Fix Move City
I love move city. It makes the game a lot more exciting sometimes. Yet, it's also incredibly cheap.
Proposition: 24 hours for a city move. Cities don't teleport in real life. They shouldn't in haypi either.

Re: Please Fix Move City
There are ways that can help combat this to a degree. Gurex the #1 player on Server 3 is notorious for moving his city next to yours, wiping you out and moving away. He's bragged that he purchased 7500 coins.
I'm all for being able to move cities. The move city tactic really does not belong here as it's implemented because it instantly teleports your troops. It gives those people who can buy coin an overpowered advantage over those that cannot purchase coin.
I feel this really goes away from the original intent of the game. Every action in this game requires a certain amount of time to transport your troops or resources whether it's hunting, occupying, building or attacking.
I was attacked today and had about a 5 second warning that I was being attacked. I couldn't move my troops. Luckily I didn't have many in that city, so I didn't loose much.
I would suggest that moving a city should take at least 3 times the amount of time of your slowest troops moving with your city. After all, you would have to tear down buildings, move the materials and rebuild the standing city if you did this in the real world.
Now the strategy that I helped come up with has been pretty effective. I created an account on my spousal units DEVICE, moved my city to the farthest corner of the world away from Gurex. I built my city up enough to support building cats. Now I send 1 cat to attack his city. By doing that, he cannot move his city until that attack is over. Currently on his main city, and non-attack cities, I can lock them down for roughly 17 hours at a time. I get varying mileage on his attack city if my 1 cat attack runs out and he moves it.
For it to work, you have to have enough people in an alliance with you that will help after all you only get 5 attacks per 24 hours. I've named this method the Gurex Lockdown.
If enough people use this tactic to block players that exploit the insta-teleport troop move, I'm sure we slow down or put a stop in the use of this tactic until the developers decide to fix it.
The first week that this was done to Gurex, he complained to me, to support, in world chat and to the Alliance he thought was behind the tactic. I honestly feel for that alliance as I heard he attacked them for several days in retaliation for locking him down.
Before anyone starts complaining that I've got multiple accounts, read the rules. 1 registered account per device. I've got 2 devices and one account registered to each. (Soon to have 3.)

Re: Please Fix Move City
ok so moving city is a stratagy that is used by players that spend all there money on this game
but its not that big of a problem
just use the same stuff that u do when other ppl r attacking u....Keep ur troops hunting! so that even if they move ur city nxt to ur's they only get recorces and have wasted money.

That is a defence against this type of attack. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The problem is that the attacker squats next to your city and attacks. Depending on troops sent and speed, it can be almost an instant attack. It happened to me when I was coming out of a hunt.
Still in the real world you can't instantly teleport a city across the map. It should take a certain amount of time like every other action in this game.
The tactic I proposed and have used is also a defensive tactic that prevents the attacker from teleporting his troups. If enough people use this tactic, then the problem subsides. It doesn't effect those people looking to move their cities to be closer to allies and friends, because they are not attacking.
Of course I don't think the developers will change this as it's a gold mine for them.

Re: Please Fix Move City
Move city should have some restrictions like a sub for 12 hours minimum and 24-48 hours for a main. Make it somewhat more feasible. Gurex yes he attacks people but if you max out your scout it makes it harder for him to attack you. There are ways to every strategize to outwit and out perform him. You just need to think about how to hide you army for days and dont put them all at your main. Gurex is just a player that likes to spend money, with this post here http://usim.co.il/rank1.jpg he just likes to show he's #1 like Ken. I've a hard time believing he blew 75,000 dollars on this game... seems a little far fetched
Re: Please Fix Move City
vayne,
blaming it on the people is a lame excuse. players ask for lots of things that the developers dont give. the developers entered into a contract with the players to ensure game balance. ie players play because the game is fun and they have a chance to advance. Players stop playing if neither of those conditions are met.
By refusing to address the complaints they violate that contract. Their answers have been cryptic and unwilling to address the concerns at best.
Additionlly a vast majority of the players were never consulted, so blaming them for the choice is absurd.
Additionally I've seen you say live with the consequences of our requests. That is a false argument since the system can be changed sice the developers do it regularerly wihtout consult. Also once a change becomes detrimental to the game remove it.
The only way to foster newer players is to take actions to protect them not tell them that they have to live with the consequences of "votes" when they didn't participate in that "vote". There are thousands of players and I suspect most do not appreciate the current system or had a chance to participate in that "vote".
If they have a game mechanic reason beyond wanting to make money give it. Or state that it wont change because the developers want to make money and dont care about the product and how it is perceived.
Besides why is the only thing that doesn't take in game time? That would be an easy fix.
Finally as others have pointed out, it violates the realism that the developers claim to be seeking.
