Pvp change

So, a lot of people have thought of new ways to make pvp more fun and entertaining. Heres a dramatic solution, i dont know exactly how it would work or even if it could, but here goes.

So basically, pvp has a map 600x600, but the city line ends around 25-30 on the Y coordinate i believe... Thats approx 20,000 spaces that are "used" and over 330,000 that are "not used".

Lets change the map dimensions, 200x200, a total of 40,000 squares on the map, and all/most of them would used in pvp, no dead space with no oasis/fort/cities for who knows how long. I also think that we could change the number of entrants up a bit. Im thinking between 5k-6k (the current pvp holds a little over 3000 players before it is "full")

Some benefits of this:
-Smaller map, you are closer to more people
-You cant lock peoples cities as long as you used to be able to, because you cant get as far away from them, so you need to log on more
-NO DEAD SPACE
-Much harder to get away from people, more wars will be fought
-More people can enter pvp, and not complain about how quickly it filled up
-More work and effort needed to be put in to get coins because of the extra people

I probably could come up with some more, but im lazy, so you guys can do the rest ;)

Give me all the negative stuff too, if you think its a stupid idea tell me its a stupid idea, but please tell me WHY too lol

Re: Pvp change

It means I can't hide in the middle of nowhere though :(
and it's probably 600x600 because that's the standard Haypi map for everything, I assume if it was easy to change it they would have changed it

Yeah, I pretty much figured it would be too hard for haypi to do, seeing as 600x600 is their standard map :|

Re: Pvp change

I like the idea in general.

Two points though.
  1. I was thinking thast they made it to where you couldn't move your cities out into the boonies. (I've actually never played pvp so I don't know for sure)
  2. More players means more lag. This may not be much of a problem halfway through, but could bring things to a standstill during the first few days.

PVP use to have more players, but just as Cal said, there is more lag. PVP use to be unplayable for the first few days which is why Haypi cut the number of players and created two pvp servers (i think).

I would like to see reduced troop build times. Unfortunately once someones army is wiped, they rarely re-build. The last few days of pvp are often very boring as there are very few people left playing.
