fortified points

I Think we should be allowed to attack from fortified points tht way you can move troops closer to cities to atack that are way from you instead of having to move a city out there

Re: fortified points

City 1 occupies a fort (fort 1) near city 2 and all troops sent to fort 1 can then be returned to city 1.
City 2 occupies a fort (fort 2) near city 1. City 2 dispatches troops to fort 1. Instead of returning to city 2 when called back, the troops will then be returned to city 1 (the occupying city)

Below city 1 occupies fort 1 next to city 2. City 2 also occupies a distant fort next to city 1.

City 1 <------------------- Fort 1
     | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - /\
   \/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |
Fort 2 -------------------> City 2

Now instead of marching between cities, city 2 simply sends troops to the nearby fort 1. Then call back to "teleport" your troops to city 1
And vice versa.

Thhis is kinda close

Would be too easy to sneak up on someone and STRIKE  from right next to their city.
On the other hand would kinda balance it out for non coin players ... but people would also be angry that they could be attacked in less than a minute.
Also-
What happens if you win and take resources?
What happens if you attack an oasis/fort and occupy it? Where do your troops go after callback?
Just some thoughts. Although you don't have to answer them because I doubt this will be implemented anyway ... :|

Re: fortified points

The resources go to the city you captured the fort with.

You occupy it.

Back to the fort.

I felt like answering them, lol, I don't think it would be too complicated as to where stuff would go, just different and not necessary IMO

Re: fortified points

Would you have to callback troops to get the resources?
And do you have to own the oasis/forts to dispatch to it?
Just curious :P

Re: fortified points

No, resources captured by troops in a fort are automatically sent to the city, troops go back to the fort after battle.

Yes, not sure how you would dispatch to an unnocupied fort/oasis

Personally if this were to happen I would it only to be with forts (not oasis) and to add another twist... Don't let troops hunt in forts

Re: fortified points

Boo. How would resources be automatically sent back? By train? Express? Or a certain amount of soldiers required? 8-)
Nd I wouldn't mind this happening because if someone occupies an oasis/fort next to me I'll just steal it :P
