Promote to Alliance Leader

In light of the recent updates it would great if alliance leaders had the ability to select a new leader for their alliance if they choose to step down or to quit the alliance.

The reason I think this would be a great feature is because if an alliance dismisses then all of the gold, the coins and the resources that alliance members donated will just disappear as far as we know. Possibly more important, all of the prestige that and alliance has earned from capturing mines will disappear as well, leaving an alliance to start all they way at the bottom of the alliance ranks if they choose to relaunch their team with a new leader. Such an event would be a shameful waste and a great disappointment to an alliance.

You are right, I think that all of the loss of coins is like throwing money away, and the hard work would be lost. That would stink if my alliamce disbanded and lost the thousands of coins my members donated to be number 1. And we are!! 

I agree. There needs to be a way for the alliance to vote to change leadership. However it needs to be open to more than just the leader to account for instances where the leader is unavailable - death, illness, etc. Or in instances of poor leadership. Give the vices an option to initiate a vote perhaps. If a reformation option isn't available then resources and especially coins should be redistributed to whomever donated them. Otherwise it's akin to stealing since these are equivalent to real money!

I'm sure the situation will be open enough and well-enough explained to the leader that that won't happen. Perhaps the leader would have the ability to stop a vote, since that way if they're sick or dead ( :( ) or want to resign, a new leader will be picked, but if it's a vice turning against the leader, then nobody will get as angry. ^.^
