Random event system.

I think it would be good to implement a system of random occurrences.this could also have an impact from fortune stat in relation. Examples of random occurrence could be a player logging in to see a msg saying."the people rejoice for you 10% bonus to population for 10 hours. Or a plague has fallen on your city you lose half of availible citizens.,or boosts and deficits to all resources , random speed ups and such provide an extra bit of depth to the day to day operations of your cities. The frequency could be randomized as well to keep it interesting rather than exhausting all the available occurrences long term players would be surprised at the occasional new thing to befall them good or bad.just a suggestion I feel could improve an already stellar game.

Not a bad idea. Never seen one like it so I don't know how haypi would react to it, not a bad idea though.

very good, creative idea! hope it gets implemented
people spend their lives searching for the meaning of life, and fail to find it.

I know what their mistake is. There is not one but two meanings of life:

Re: Random event system.

Its a good idea in theory, but I think people wouldn't like it so much in practice. On of the thing many people like about haypi is its predictability. They can go to sleep and know just what they will wake up to (bugs, glitches, and attacks aside). Adding unpredictability to a historically predictable game will change the gaming audience. It may attract new people, but it will definitely cause existing players to quit.

Good idea for some game, just not haypi.

While the idea itself is good, I'm not sure I'd like it.
I'd have to agree with Caladan. However something like Random Daily Tasks could work, but thats a deferent story. :)

Re: Random event system.

Well, then the random daily occurrence button could be beside the daily tasks button. That way I get MY random occurrence n you don't have to if you don't feel the need. It's a gamble sure but let's be honest ever tried enhancing items ,now that's real gambling with real money. I feel it would give long time players something else to look for at gift time.just a thought tho.thanks
