Alliance Wars Upgrade

Basically everybody knows that the mines are dying, they need a revamp or a upgrade to keep people interested. Here are a few of my ideas.

Alliance techs:
Set out a few possible tech trees that alliances can decide on and work towards. but make them optional set down different paths so each alliances choose whether to reserach techs (as an alliance) that help them as individuals or as a team. for example:
Alliance tech: Banking, meaning they recieve extra discount from the system when purchasing resources.

Indiviual tech: Irregation, meaning that being a member of a alliance that has researched these techs recieves a +% crop production in all cities etc.

I'd make these paths one way so an alliance has to decide as a team from the start which route they take.

Honor, Honour:
Aside from more levels as lvl 5's are popping up everywhere, make them more benificial to players as individuals for example the higher level medal a player has the better daily gift they get or something like that.

Alliance hero:
This has always been suggested but as individual hero's per player rather than adding a alliance hero that an alliance builds up by training with techs and equiping with equipment. This hero gives a stat boost to his alliance army and is needed for an alliance to battle. You could factor stamina in here so that if a alliance has better stats than everyone else they can't just go around wiping other teams all in one go, giving other teams chance to react.

Please feel free to let me know what you think, but i do think something needs to change with the mines as the majority of people now don't care about them.

Not bad ideas...but I feel were all missing something. Everybody wants personal advantages for donating and all. But personal advantages?? An alliance is a team. We work together to be a top alliance not to benefit ourselves from it. I feel mines are a little awkward and definately need a revamp but I don't feel this is the way to do it. We do get medals and a top spot on our alliance member ranking. Which is unselfish.
Maybe the person who donates the most each week gets 10 coins or something. A little motivation but not something that people will do just because they want big benefits.
Donating is unselfish and you aren't gaining much from it. I highly respect the people that donate. It really shows the devoted and who actually cares about the alliance not just a lvl 20 that cares about himself. So I don't really think this is the way to do it. Something needs to be done but not this.

agree with andy - also changes to make vices more useful would be nice
people spend their lives searching for the meaning of life, and fail to find it.

I know what their mistake is. There is not one but two meanings of life:

Haypi and elder scrolls

The only think that vices can't do is abandon the mine.

I agree that mines need some sort of revamp. I'm going to put it on the prestige. There needs to be a way to gain prestige in the mines other than just holding one. Let alliances get pp for building troops or for destroying other armies (I know it's possible to get pp but the amount you gain is very minimal).

Yea muku definately. I mean cmon. Your the attacker giving you automatic losses and then you kill 60,000 cats and it get 6000pp? I mean . 9 hours in the mine you get that. I'm thinking at least 3x the original prestige.

Yes you should get some pp from building. Not alot but a fair amount.

Also alliances should loose pp when they get killed. Some alliances will leave their troops in for the sake of killing some of your troops. This would make them think twice about this.

Donating is unselfish and you aren't gaining much from it. I highly respect the people that donate. It really shows the devoted and who actually cares about the alliance not just a lvl 20 that cares about himself. So I don't really think this is the way to do it. Something needs to be done but not this.

Thanks for your responce, but that's why i suggested techs to be optional so teams can decide how they reward themselves.

I like the idea of Alliance research trees. It could allow more strategy into alliance wars. Definitely needs more development though.

Getting a small bonus back for being a loyal and dutiful member (other than the little medal) would be a great. Nothing big but maybe a 2% boost in DG each level. Something to make gameplay a little easier but not give you real advantage in battle. Maybe even rewards like you get for completing tasks.

I like the hero idea, but don't think it would fit into haypi well.

Th problem with giving 10 coins top donator in each alliance is that p will start a alliance just for themselves so they get 10 coins a week

Make it for every 100k contribution u get 1 coin at the end of the week and then top 3 get a addition bonus like #1 gets 20% extra 2nd 10% 3rd 5% or something

This is to open to abuse, ppl will just create alliances and donate excess res to earn coins. Really it's got to be none coin based rewards to make it fair.

i dont think you should get prestige for building as alliances with alot of coins would just constantly build and have no real need to enter into the mines if they are at war...
i do however like the idea of, the better your honour medal the better your daily gift :)
i also dont think stats should be implimented as this means the gap between alliances would grow bigger as the alliances with better players get a bigger advantage
i did think of how about if alliance members could donate parts of their army?
but i was unsure if this could work
but, i do think you should get alot more prestige for attacking, killing gets you hardly any prestige, as the equivelent of days of hard work and building becomes the same amount of prestige as few hours of just holding the mine.
i also think there should be a 'top' mine, one mine per server which is a mine to show who is the strongest, npc should be twice the strength of a level 5 mine and should be 1000 pres per hr, and once an alliance gets past say, level 15? then they are only aloud to hold a 'top' mine. i agree mines need a bit of tweeking, maybe this is the answer?
