Suggestions for a more challenging PVP Competition

I understand that the computation of the final rankings are based on the prestige that each player has the very second the competition ends. The players who were last ranked at borderline region of the cut-off ranks of the different prizes would be the only ones hoping for good news in their mailbox a couple of days later.

Some players who are already far up in the ranking table usually kill off all their troops during the last few days of the competition. Since there are no troops, there are very slim chances that anyone might take their prestige away. Treasures would also be sold off as they may not need them anymore. They may already be tens or even hundreds of thousands prestige count away from the next ranking player and could easily wait out the last few days as they could already be the clear winner. Why not include the final troop count for the final computation of scores as well, together with treasures, resources etc. This may result in a more flexible game play as well as any player with lets say ranking #500 may jump up to rank #300 just because he kept his large troop count safe from harm, has kept his high level treasures, lots of money and resources, and unexpectedly jump up in ranking well above 200 other players.

At least for those who were wiped early in the pvp may not just quit and there are still other options to play the competition to gain prestige or even achievement as well, but of course at a slower rate than to engage in battles. This may reduce the number of quitters early in the game.

To make it more challenging, at the same time players might jump or reduce in rank greatly after the final second of the competition, here are some suggestions:

(1) Include final amount of resources, treasure types held to be calculated as certain amount of prestige.

(2) Include the final troop count which each player has once the PVP competition ends.

(3) To give prestige to the level of techs upgraded.

(4) How about some small amount of prestige to the amount of money each player has at the end of the game? I understand most of us just spend it blindly in the market on the last day. After all this is a 15 day competition and some of us do take lots of effort cracking our brains to trade in the market to grow our money too.

(5) Since there is an achievement ranking, how about creating another competition prize for this category as well? At least for me, I did managed to get a much higher rank in achievement ranking than my prestige ranking for the last one.

At least with these (Hidden Attacks - on the final prestige), it would be more exciting anticipating the results released in a couple of days as in who will come up tops or whichever ranks we finally achieve. How does this sound?

I like the idea of making it so that people who have a large sum of perstige and are deffinetly going to win if they just do nothing venerable, but judging ranks on how much troops, treasures, resources I dont like.

How about every day a perstige reset. So every 24 hours everyones perstige would be reset (it would still tell you who has the total perstige in the ranks section) and the person who gaines the most perstige in a day gets maybe double that perstige? Just a thought.

i prefer K2's suggestion to the original one. i like the idea that gaining pp in a day could result in doubleing your pp

Re: Suggestions for a more challenging PVP Competition

Haypi will love this idea, as it rellies on people wasting all their coins on filling up their warehouse and buying tonnes of pointless treasure.

If the top prize is $500

Then surely if your 4 place would you spend $400 on coins making yourself first by resources and treasure.

I can imagine someone buying 100 gold boxes, opening them all and ending up with like 10 crowns, loads of money and stuff and concequently he wins that round.

As by the sound of it...

a crown is 200 coins.

A gold box is 30 to open it.

if you buy 6 gold boxes and one of them is a crown then you have saved coins and got loads of other stuff as well.

So haypi will like the idea, but i dont think that many players will.
You can't buy awesomeness, your just born with it.

Re: Suggestions for a more challenging PVP Competition

The coin spenders would have a field day with this one. Currently you get 300 coins for pvp unless you buy more. I personally would never spend money on pvp, so those who do would be able to buy all level 15 treasures thus giving them a greater prestige advantage in the end. Coins would be too much of a factor in the other suggestions as well.

I personally would prefer to disable hunts in pvp. Nothing more frustrating than pvp minus the pvp part. Not sure about everyone else, but I only score a couple of big hits each competition simply because everyone is hunting all the time. Armies would be tough to sustain as they would constantly be under siege, but that would be more pvp like.
