Main idea by krighton. I added the details.

New building maybe called storage room? Idk well here is the idea.

A storage for extra resources, that will cost gold/hr to hold extra res for you. It levels up like all other buildings to level 20, raising the amount of resource it can hold each level.

14            560k total                $1.4k
15            600k total                $1.5k
16            640k total                $1.6k
17            680k total                $1.7k
18            720k total                $1.8k
19            760k total                $1.9k
20            800k total                $2k

Also you can choose to "enhance" the building, which allows 50% additional storage for the same gold/hr, it costs 20 coins for a week or 40 coins for a month. So for example, a level 9 storage building enhanced could hold 480k resources for $900 gold/hr instead of non enhanced level 9 which holds 360k resources for $900 gold/hr.

This will help if you need to feed a big army you can hold tons of crop in the storage then withdraw when you need it. 

Or if you want to help your friends or alliance members you can hold their resources then sell back without it messing with yours. 

And the amount of resource it holds is total not each. So for example, level 10 holds 400k total resource, not 400k of each resource.

This is just an outline, please reply feedback and thoughts.

sorry i dont like this idea as the warehouse is already big enough, the problem with these ideas is that everyone gets bigger armies making it worthless to implement, sorry but i dont like it
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

I agree with Nathan on this. It's much to complicated and it would take away some fun in the gameplay, and non-coin players would have a puny amount of troops vs the coin-payers who buy thousands a day and build tremendous amounts of troops, and I agree that the warehouse is big enough.
