Punishment for expert abuse

I have watched my friends/experts be berated on the world chat and I feel this is really unfair to the experts who are just trying to help out. I want there to be a different kind of punishment fir expert abuse besides just muting. This just makes the one muted come back angrier then before and more abusive then before the mute.

Re: Punishment for expert abuse

Actually, the only punishment we can dole out at first is a mute. But should the person continue to abuse the expert after the fact, then the expert can submit them for a month long chat ban.
A little bit of overkill never hurt anyone!

Re: Punishment for expert abuse

What mint said, there really isn't anything else the expert themselves can do, and anything haypi can do will take a day or two, so there really isn't an easy way to solve this, the simplest way being for all the troublemakers to stop troublemaking and follow the rules, but that will never happen sadly

the other easy way, is to get all the trouble makers onto a server of their own. then, nuke the server.....

Re: Punishment for expert abuse

to be fair you should expect abuse just because of the responsability you carry, i have lots of time for abusers to try and find out what there problem is, sometimes talking is better than just dealing out punishments

there are of coarse players that will abuse us anyway and steps must be taken if they are persistant with the abuse after you have tried to talk to them
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

I agree with talking I try to give them as many warnings as possible until they get out of hand or are repeat offenders. Usually letting them talk calms them down and ease a steady conversation with wc. And if you mute them half of them have alt accounts to come blowing up in your face with.

Re: Punishment for expert abuse

Screenshots are sent in to support all the time, whether it's a players first time or possibly last. All players send in screenshots so it's not just on us.

Pm helps a lot of the time. Though MaryJane, if there's a repeat offender that just won't go away you can bet that they'll be starved and farmed along with their mute regardless of their level.
