Army tactics

Right now I've got arch/cav going on, seems awesome so far. But I was wondering about adding cats to the mix. 1 cat, 1 cav, 5 arch. Buuuuuuut (big but) I like arch/cav for their speed in battle and marching. I'll lose the marching speed. I'll also have the extra power of cats. Would the trade off be good? It seems like I'll have the worst parts of both armies with no benefits. The slowness of cats and the lack of power of arch. I think I would be better off using the res I save from not making cats to make more arch... Any ideas?

Re: Army tactics

a full mix is not a bad idea i run some of each unit and have to say i use cavs annd archers for small speed hits and warp my cats for big hits

Re: Army tactics

well then if you dont wanna warp then definately go for cav archer army. i guess your cities are pretty well spread with warp loops so that the dispatch time is reduced so you can hit a pretty large area quickly
