Update 1.2

I'm surprised no-one has already done this so I'll start by sharing my opinion of the latest update.

Pro's

  • The music - a great little touch to the game; it's nice and subtle and opens doors for more music in the future (maybe a different melody for each themed map?)

  • New visual effects - all the new visual effects are awesome! Specifically the new 'frozen' state and the animation when activating skills.

  • Explore - a nice incentive to train up alternate dragons.

  • Treasure map - not quite sure what this does as the description is vague but it appears to open a new level? nice! plus the 200 gold achievement for constructing it :D

  • New tasks - an obvious improvement.

  • Status indicators - 'VIP', PvP Medal and signal strength? are all nice additions to your characters game-room display.

  • New levels - very challenging and having 3 new reward levels is great! Shame they aren't very 'rewarding' :(

  • New PvP options - room passwords and team-pvp filters are a great addition that will definitely keep pvp much more organised.

Cons

  • Angelo - really? level 18? there's no incentive to use him! most dragons are going to be level 22+ to even reach him. The very same reason that not many people use Crystal is going to occur here but on much larger scale. You need to release a dragon that's level ~35 upon capture to keep the top 100 players entertained (after all, they are the ones who are most likely to buy gold coins!).

  • Experience - where's it gone? 40/50 exp for 4-40+? that's less that what we were getting from 3-20+ prior to the update. Once again you're disregarding your loyal players who are going to be high-level and need an incentive to keep playing.

  • Items - there is no 'farming levels' anymore other than reward levels and Lv3 stones have seemingly increased in rarity. I've played over 150 levels of Map 4 and I've only witnessed about four Lv3 stones on the wheel. Most rewards are small sums of money or Lv1 stones which are useless to the players who are strong enough to actually play these levels. Players were expecting Lv3 stones to become more common in the 4-40+ with the occasional Lv4 stone making an appearance but I've yet to see one.

  • PvP - I personally didn't receive the bug but many players have been unable to enter a PvP round.

  • Explore - I didn't notice until after writing this post that explore costs gold coins to perform the actions and if no funds are available then the dragon is held in remand until it's bailed out by the players bank. Explore = jail? I think Haypi owes the players a great deal of compensation.


Conclusion

Although the update added some nice new features, I believe it has failed to meet the expectations of the more experience players who waiting for this update to provide an incentive to continue playing. Experience and item rewards from levels/wheel need to be increased to provide a target/goal for players who are losing faith.

Note: I am not ungrateful for the update, I'm just merely critically analysing the new update, I think the game is great and has a lot of potential which is being restricted via (by my opinion) poor decisions and innovation, that's why I go through the effort to post this.

I hope this feedback is productively used to further enhance future updates.

I'm one of the top players and i waited so bad for this update but i am totally disappointed now , after some hours of playing this joke update.

Just the fact that xp rates are cut to the ground , no farm level on new map and decrease in rare items on wheel makes this game boring and unattractive. I'm so sad :/

Agree with it all. And for first time i got what i expected....
And on pvp note what happen to being able to select the game mode?

lol you think you are caped in this game try haypi kindom we been stuck at lvl 20 going on near 2 years.

Agree with a lot of the above assessment. Of course, everybody kinda expects some glitches when a new update comes out, but there are things from the update that haven't been explained. The exploration system for one. People are losing coins from doing it, but nobody knows why. I'm guessing that it doesn't cost to send out one dragon to explore, but costs one coin for every additional dragon. It'd be nice to get something put out about that in the news tab about all the changes and how to work them.

Also, I am one of many who can't play pvp anymore. :( is there anyway there can be an option to write to support from inside the game? I've looked but haven't found anything.

As stated above, when using higher level dragons, you get less exp, but isn't that the reason for raising the amount of exp points you get for leveling a dragon? It does kinda defeat that purpose then. It will turn off a lot of players.

Still a fun game to play and thanks for coming out with the update! I've enjoyed the game and friends I've made on there.

Lol angelo is lvl 18? Even crystal is lvl 18. And whats up with the low exp gain?

I cant login pvp earlier. Now i cant even login the game. I also had to download haypi kingdom to register for this forum.

They also nerf crystal's skill. Last update, the initial hit has dmg, then another 4x dmg from the 4 crystals. Now theres no initial dmg.

The Exp. you can gain decide on the gap of the level of your dragon and enemy.

For the pvp and explor problem, please write a letter to your server support and tell us the detail info according to our requirements.

I can see what is trying to be accomplished with giving out less exp for the higher level dragons, but here is what I see as the problem for that. As voiced by me and others in world chat, the amount it takes to level a dragon goes up for each level, but now we gain less exp. to do that. That's not much of an incentive to farm and level your dragon, cuz it will take 4x as long now then it did before, where it only took 2x as long. Unless there is a cap on the exp. needed to level a dragon, there's gonna be a point where everyone will level up to the same level and nobody will be able to gain a higher level dragon. When you need 120,000 to level, but only gain 20 exp. per board, there's no incentive to move on.

Sorry for the long and repeated rant. Not trying to sound ungrateful. Thanks for the response and fun game.

I agree with the statements about experience. I'm not gonna spend thousands of dollars to level up to the max level because there's no way you can expect someone to lvl 160k dragon exp or 360k player exp at my level getting 40/40. That's just plain robbery. Game got interesting for one night, but now it's just stupid to level. Please work out the math in your head and tell me how many weeks it will take just to get one level when you are player lvl 25+ and lvl 35+ dragon. I will grow old, have kids, and die way before I reach lvl 50 player/dragon.
