Maxing scores?

Any tips out there for increasing score ? Take 1-1 for example the most I can get here is 900 points by breaking every block and taking no damage. But the record holder has over 12000 score. How did he do that?! By the way I have lv 31 Rocco and hold 27 records on server 5.
