chat interface update

this has probably already been said before but im too lazy to troll the forum looking for it...

in my opinion the chat interface needs an overhaul. i personally would like to see more....infact..an option. we have no say over what we see in our chat screens...personally mine gets filled up with chinese text! i know about the multicultural variety the servers have but i really dont enjoy scrolling up half a page just to read what someone has said before i get spammed! there needs to be an option to show which languages we would like to see. Also from what i have read this is a delicate statement to make... but i think an OPTIONAL chat filter should be applied.


also, and probably the main one.... server changes.... now i know this can be done. when i worked at a certain Blizzard games staff team we did multiple server changes which im sure would be less than half the task of changing an account on these servers. it would be nice to have an option of which one we would like to go to...even when we are registering for the first time, the whole point of friends gettign the game is to play together, and when you sign up and four of you sitting right next to each other each get placed ona different server it kind of puts you off continuing with the game!

An update on his suggestion:
You may change to other chat rooms,
such as an English room, Chinese room, Korean, etc. or a simple world chat.
Think about a ignore button of some sort too.

I also have chat suggestion. When i turn off chat in settings it makes the text not pop up while im playing. I like this but it also makes it dissappear in the chat room. It would be nice if the turn off chat button only made the chat popups go away so we can still check chat if we want but not be forced to read it while playing.

These are all good suggestions but i doubt they will be available to us this v1.4 update :l

This isn't the place to ask that, you can ask your server support or in the actual update thread...

Maybe they are adding a few extra's before release, although it may be taking a while to debug all the levels and features.

I would like to see a seperate channel for pvp, and maybe pve boss room chat, That way you could communicate with your team easier. It would also reduce some of the lag in boss rooms.

Color of text option would be nice, In Laputa its hard to see white text on mostly white background.

Mostly a BAN button, so we can mute those harassing people and spammers who dont play but sit and annoy people.
