Glad I could help. And yeah, a lot of low lvls have some beast resources.

Re: Guide to Farming Inactives.

ok heres my REAL concern here which may just blow smoke but let me say this. WHEN this game came free i gnabbed it. the protection period i was given was given was 3 days. well more like 16 hours and i never hit lvl 4 im that time. i have a lot of inactive around me at lvls 1-3 and i know they are ive lettered them on day 1 and never recieved an note back. AS of right now i am lvl 4 and it says i cannot attack people AT ALL regardless if they are over 4 or not. its been like 7-10 days in which the app became free. i dont understand WHY i cant attack people. the timer is automatically set to the 7 day period if you are new. Now lets see if you can solve this. i cant and im getting displeased. also Im begging you (if you are going to since i begged you not to, or because you think itll be funny to) attack please send me a letter of war and let me respond to it. thanks!..

This needs to be sent to support. General-management-(then scroll down)Contact Support Team. Explain this to them. Also, are you prestige lv4 or have you accepted your Upgrade General Task up to lv4? What day did you start on? (exact if you can remember it)

The algorithms are always changing for the hunt topic, but the following will always be true...
Fortune can better a hunt and even change numbers to items, the better the item, the lower your chances to obtain. The faster your troops, the more your troops will obtain. The more troops hunting, the more they can bring back. The longer your hunt, the more your troops have time to take. 8+hours gives you a chance for an extraordinary hunt, if you can carry it. 25k seems to be the highest hunt you can get before it becomes an item. The more recent the oasis that your troops are in was hunted in, the less you'll bring. Oasis level doesn't currently matter, based on last time hunted in. Oasis's change 3 levels per day, many players take high level oasis's, and many hunt in their own oasis. ex. 0,3,6,9,2,5,8,1,4,7,0.
This isn't the place for hunting comments, this post was about farming inactives. Your comment should have been posted on a different part of the forum. Suprised shadetale hasn't caught this yet. From what i've gathered he usually does. lol. :p

Cav may still have merit since they are twice as fast as Swords, but that's up to the player. Certainly no one should bother wasting anything on Bows. They are just a junk unit.

hmm... Cavalry can hit turrets/traps on the first turn if the player has no troops out. though if they're inactive, they may already have been farmed and have no traps/turrets.
I like using massive amounts of bows, if you want to know why, check out my many posts on it. It's not the place for me to ramble about bows. :p

I completely agree, I'm a Cav guy myself. However, the guide written here is done so for low level players farming inactives (I would probably rename the guide to that).

At the lower levels where players cannot amass a great deal of troops yet, nothing beats the Sword for that job. Nothing. Second fastest unit in the came. Most Overload value per crop consumption. Cheapest to build and maintain. Simply, nothing beats it.

If you're a new player that is looking to have a production edge over players of same level by farming low level inactives, then this is the way to go. Like the other threads, I can bore you to death with numbers to back up my claims.

To top that off, Bows are the WORST inactive farmers. The only thing they have going for them is how cheap they are, but at 40 Overload you really want to look away from those.

I also keep hearing how well Bows do against turrets...that's a joke. Bows get -80% attack against turrets. That is in addition to the -33% they get against the far too common Swords at the lower levels.

So I will continue to stand by my earlier statements. Bows are just not worth it in any way shape or form. They have only two uses.
1 - To give support to Swords at the newbie levels (to be replaced for Cats once the player can afford some)
2 - To build 1-5 in addition to your other troops in a Cat army to stall a wave of incoming Cav for one more turn of siege engine shooting.

That's pretty much it...

I haven't renamed it because I specifically state on the first paragraph that this is for noobs.
