Friend/Block mix up

I have an Android phone (LG Ally to be exact), and from what I have seen other people say in chat, this problem seems to be one that is specific to Android

Whenever I friend someone, if I long tap their name a second time it gives the message: "Already in your block list.How to deal with (player name)?"
Hitting cancel cancels, and hitting remove does nothing because they aren't actually on the block list

The exact opposite happens when I try to block someone
Now for the real issue!

Someone I block isn't actually blocked, I can still see every one of their messages. Fortunately, it also doesn't block the friends....
I don't know enough about programing to really know much, but I think it is possible that the mix up between the friend and block lists could also be why blocked players aren't actually blocked.... maybe?

yes that is very sensible

This is not just impacting one user, when I block someone it seems to think I friended them and it will not let me remove them

I am on htc hero, i have the same issue, I don't bother with block, but the friends thing, I can add and remove still
