Negative crop production second city

I am not sure if this is a bug but I can't figure it out. I have 2 cities. My main city crop production is + 900 and my levels are 8,7,6,7. At my second city I am at negative 293 crop production. My levels there are 6,6,5,4. Can anyone explain why this is? Thanks

troops take up crop. infantry 1, cavalry 4, archers 2, catapults 10. the reason for the negative production is that you have more troops than you can feed. negative crop isn't a big problem though, just make sure you have enough crop in that city. the only time you'll "starve"is when your citys' crop resource reaches 0.
