Communicating, please try again later

As of this evening I've been getting this screen that reads "Communicating, please try again later.". I have tried hitting the OK button but the screen still comes back. It's been a least two hours of this and I'm worried I won't get back in to the game again. My wireless connection is working fine. Could this just be a server issue? Do I have to uninstall the game from my iPod? I don't want to loose my account.

Ok, someone else had the same problem and a solution was posted that got me back in, but it seems very laggy now even though my Internet connection is working just fine. Not sure if thus is related to the servers or not.

I can't login either. This happens once a week for a minimum of 24 hours for me. For it to happen with such consistency is terrible.

Try restarting your device. Or completely close out of the app and try again.

BTW, deleting and reinstalling the app won't delete your account. It's server-side
