Data Error

I kept getting a "Data Error" message this morning when trying to attack a bunch of mines. One of my mines was taken and I was able to attack and take it back. However, that was the only attack that actually went through. Trying to attack any other mines (even from other accounts in different alliances) has resulted in this message. See ss below:

Can someone explain why this is happening? It isn't the result of trying to attack my own mine from another device. As I mentioned, I tried to attack many other mines.

Re: Data Error

Try updating to 3.02? Otherwise email kingdomsupport@haypi.com or your in-game support

Re: Data Error

Thanks. I'll do that right now. :)

EDIT: I don't see 3.02 in the app store. I'm on an apple device and the latest version I see is 3.01. I know they submitted 3.02 to Apple though. Were you able to download it? I searched "Haypi Kingdodom" and no luck.

Re: Data Error

I think mailing in-game support or going to help --> support --> contact us would be better then emailing support, kingdomsupport@haypi.com is as slow as molasses being eaten in a freezer by a half-dead beetle when replying and looking into bugs.

Re: Data Error

It would appear that this error is a result of haypi's attempt to stop alliances from using alts to block their mines from being attacked by sending 1 troop from their alt alliance. We tested this out and it looks like there is a minimum size army that needs to be sent in order for the attack to go through (estimated amount is 1/3 of the troops stationed at the mine, computed by total prestige).

There is a problem with fixing it this way. How do we gather intel about other alliances' troops sizes? The scouting reports don't reveal very much, especially when the numbers gets into the 100,000-1,000,000 range. I'm not going to send 1/3 of their numbers just to take a peek at their army. This would seem to discourage players from using strategy and basically have to resort to "oh well, I hope this our army is big enough" attacks. This will mean only one thing: big armies will only attack much smaller armies.

Well, I suppose there is another option: people will just build more troops on their alt alliances and send more troops (i.e., turning what was previously just an attempt to block others from attacking their mine into feeding prestige to their main alliance).

Re: Data Error

You're sure it's not based on IP address somewhat?

Re: Data Error

When we tested it, the attack was sent by someone in a different state from me and they have no accounts in the alliance that they were attacking (that's why I asked them specifically to do it).

Nope. There's an easy work around. Just leave 1 cat to guard your mine and send 1 cav from an alt alliance. You'll have to continue putting up with the spam "Alliance War Reports".

So effectively, all Haypi has managed to do is prevent players from sending a scout troop to gather more accurate information about opposing armies.

Re: Data Error

I find it hard to believe this is the reason for "Data Error" it sounds like there was a problem server side! Hopefully support will reply or you can email kingdomsupport@haypi.com most replies come by the next morning American time!
