Unable to enter chat at all!

This just started happening today and may involve PM.

For some reason, as soon as I open chat my app crashes. I am unable to enter at all and it was right after my alliance leader tried to PM me

I have tried the following:
1) Kill app from memory and restart
effect: none
2) Uninstall and reinstall app
effect: able to enter chat the first time afterwards and chat, but then any subsequent attempts crash the app!

I rely heavily on alliance chat, please help me resolve this!

Already discussed here. There's an update on the way.

Most people that I know that are experiencing this just steer clear of PMs but still make use of World and Alliance chat.

i dont understand y do some people experiance this and other not? i never in the whole time i have used haypi have had chat problems

The problem only seems to surface if you send or receive a PM.

i pm alot thats not the issue its gotta be something deeper. and its not afflited with how can i say with out gettign reprimanded... uhhh... illegally unlocked divices?(jb) cuz my ipod is like that. mabye its ios 4.0 because i dont use that.

That will probably be the most common use case for their user base too.
