I pick the second one, it adjusts to the colors more or maybe it's just me

ill just go with num one without background for now

You could try dropping the colour of the forum post background and use that instead.
Take a screenshot of the forum, load it into CS2 and drop the background post colour, then fill in the white.
I think that'd look a tonne better

i dont have cs2 or any photo shop for that matter
