Newbie here, wanting to become pro!

Hallo everyone!

At this like, exact moment, I have been playing Haypi monster for 24 hours! I am lvl 14 and I have been playing competitive pokemon for 3 years so I have a major boost in the game. If anybody has any tips for me, please share them in a reply!

Re: Newbie here, wanting to become pro!

- Don't waste any Skill Books on monsters that are Common, Uncommon or Rare, only on Epic and Legendary.

- At Level. 15, you unlock the Hatchery, which can be used to increase the grade of your monster. Better grade = better stats! It is recommended only to use S grades whenever you can ( You obviously won't be able to after a few days. )

- It might not look like a lot in the beginning, but always try to keep your Team Mode cooldown running! Team Mode will be your main resource for both Silver and Exp, so making sure it's always cooling down is quite important!

- You can't rush this game like you can rush Pokémon. I'd say that, without spending coins, it takes approximately 5 months to finish the last map in the game.

- Save your Poe!
I know this will sound weird right now, but you'll understand it later on ;)

You need to get a certain amount of monsters from each element to receive a reward, the monster Poe, which can evolve into any element using the right catalyst, can be a big help here.
Hope this helps you out, it's all I can think of right now !
Finally back on track and ready to help you guys :D!

Grades can be seen when you click on your monster and press ''Identify'' (it costs a mere 100 Silver).
If you look at the picture below, you'll see that the monster has an avarage grade of D- ( Next to the EXP ), and several individual stats in D+, D- and even an E stat.
Image

Now, if we look at another monster, you'll see that its avarage grade is S ( Again, next to the EXP ).
All other stats are S aswell, besides DEF, which is A+.
Image

Simply put : If you have two of the same monster that are both Level 60, but one is D- grade and the other is S grade, the S grade will have better stats.
As said before, the only way to increase the Grade is via Breeding, which requires the Hatchery, being Level. 15, a male and female parent, some Silver ( Ranging from 5K to 58K ) and Love Potions.

My advice, always accept Koe's advice. Koe has helped more players in haypi monster than even he knows. Make use of the "mother of guides", keep up with the forum as best as possible, later in levels be sure to use the spreadsheet located here in general discussion (it is stickied, along with Koe's guide), SAVE YOUR POE (in attempts to crack eggs for new monsters you will acquire poe's evolutions, don't evolve the two you will get until you know which evo you will need - leviathan is a great, great monster), save your resurrection cards for expert maps but try to bear Ocean Abyss as fast as possible (will also require monster collection), do your daily tasks, veteran/exp challenges, and "explore" each map by playing it a second time when prompted in tasks (this will earn you a little more experience/silver and item rewards. Lastly, take Koe's advice! Lol

! That's a bit over the top.
Anyhow, you named a lot of terms I could see hard to understand for someone that just started.
The spreadsheet is a great downloadable file made by AcheTH, it can be downloaded here.
My own Guide can be located right here.
By cracking eggs he means the Egg Icon at the top right of the main screen. There are four different kind of Eggs, Plain Eggs, which can be opened with Silver, the main currency at Haypi Monsters. I wouldn't suggest opening Purple or Blue eggs, as they mostly give rubbish monsters, but Orange Eggs have a small chance (note; really small) to give you a Legendary monster, which is pretty much the strongest monster in-game (the Legendary monster changes every 2 weeks).
Leviathan, as SprawlingOak mentioned, is a free obtainable Legendary that can be acquired once you have its Scroll. The Scroll can be gained by having a collection of 135 different monsters.

Hope this helps, feel free to ask anything !

This one may only be a few days in but they will pick it up quickly. Most of these things became self-explanatory after a few weeks of playing. But it's good to have you around, Koe! Thanks for simplifying things.

The S stands for a grade.
The order is E, D, C, B, A, S; E being the weakest and S being the strongest.
Naturally, there are - and + stats, - being lower than E, + being higher than E.
Every stat has -, natural or + except for S, there is simply ''S''.

To clear up, a Common monster can have the same S grade as a Legendary monster, it just indicates how many extra stats it gets when it levels up.
