Minotaur also throws iajitsu +6 when its raining. Just make sure you cast rain prayer 1 time right before he shows.

I want that MINOTAUR!!! tough looking!!!

I got 104k xp the first run through, on BL.

What are your dice combo's for both HR and BL?

I would actually not recommend using too many dices on Holy Ruins and Barren Lands team modes. You really only need 1 for the double EXP totem just before the bosses - no need for luck at the end as well as there are less than 6 tiles before the boss battle after this!
However, if you really want to get to the boss without any battles at all, try this:

(Holy Ruins)
There really are way too many combinations for this and I think that you have to participate in at least 1 battle before the boss. Sorry I can't help as much with this!

(Barren Land)
1(attacks/defences/speed decrease) - 1+(poison - lose HP) - 3(treasure chest) - 5(double EXP) - 2+(boss)

I know this is an older topic, but can we add HR vet and BL vet modes? On what to bring to battle?

Uhm... the weather changes all the time, so I would say level up a variety of monsters to above level 55 and you should be alright. That's how I beat veteran HR and BL to get my crystal.

Edit: if you wanted specifics, I relied heavily on Adapt Cygness, Ressurect Scythe, and Underdog Fenrir. All level 56 and up. Backup for specific situations was 53 Adapt Draco, and 51 Healer Smiter. My monsters all don't have weather changers as I found it moot point with weather being locked most of the time.

If you have Cerberus with heat wave that'll be useful. Team of them with heat wave up front and underdogs with SFB to clear out the rest. I used that line up for HR vet and it was a breeze, bl I'm stuck at BL 1 vet cause I'm using all my attempts to get sneopard's scroll lol. 20 tries and I have 1 scroll -___- I don't even see them on the wheel half the time.

Back on topic though a hydra/levi with rain (is that a talent they have? I think so) will probably be useful as well, possibly with neons and rhors as reserves. Or if you're lucky and have a gryph that has rain before it was removed then I'm sure that'll help.

As for expert mode I'm not there yet, but if I'm not mistaken I didn't think you could change the weather in expert bl? Or is that just certain levels? Either way you'll have to plan ahead with that when you see whatever weather it is.

Im now upto barren 9 exp i can get to the boss (lvl 73) hydra > ouch !!
The restrictions are no weather changes no electric and its a dual duel

Im using 60 s hippogon + 58 s leviathan + 50 s smiter and 51 s clawpard
I can get to the hydra at the end but it 2 hits everything ive got!!
My plan is lvl my smiter and pattafly to 60 and hope for the best :lol:
Any advice off someone who has completed bl 9 exp would be nice

Earth would be an awful choice for barren 9 exp as the monsters are grass and water type.
