Hippo build help

Hey i decide to use hippo more in pvp / ladder

Thing is i need help in upgrading my hippo

Look at ss and pleas give me best advices of what i shpuld change in that hippo

Change talent to penterate , change thunderstorm to boulder , change blade of mercy into soak , make lai+5 , change item to boots

I changed my Penetrate Hippo to Tech-II and regret it so far. The extra damage with Frenzy isn't exactly enough to make it worth it. But definitely if you stumble onto Tech-II its better than the other non-purple options.

And I recommend PoD even if you get Tech+Frenzy since it still triggers most of the time in PvP/Ladder. With PoDed high def and Soak it becomes quit the little tank. Very annoying to face in PvP.

My finished build is: Tech-II, Fenzy, Water Bombs, Soak, PoD.

With Pressure, keep Iajutsu instead of getting Frenzy.

I'd replace Smack with Water Bombs if I were you!
It only costs 50 Essence, gives you an elemental skill that has more power and possibly raise your avoidability and/or restore HP!
Other than that, nice Hippo !

Thank you, he's a big help pretty good on ladder. I'm thinking of soak instead of water bombs as it will give me a advantage over other hippos. Also if you think about it water bombs isn't really needed only useful against fire and rock and I have boulder for fire rock is a struggle but iaijutsu sorts them out reasonably well . Smack is underestimated like water jets and it works well with tech 2 meaning I can often finish of a opponent before they can take me out. Thanks for the feedback though im leaving my options open for now

Doesn't match hippos element so smack will be stronger I might change however that's a interesting thought....

mine was - penetrate, POD, Laijutsu, poison leaves and photosynthesis ...

I agree that tech ll is good .. since it does deal more damage... but i prefer penetrate. It is better for :-
PVP - to cut through foresight or taunt combo
Ladder - to cut through opponent ressurection

and sometimes tech ll not activate when use laijutsu..
Poison leaves can use for ghost... but boulder also good too...
