Iaijutsu & Frenzied

I think giving a TOTAL of 5 atk per upgrade at the MAXIMUM amount of hits is terrible.

Due to the fact that only a certain percentage of the time does the attack hit the max amount of times, each upgrade essentially is receiving LESS then the original 5 dmg power increase that other skills enjoy.

These multiple attacks are a gamble for high burst and high risk.
They have the potential to deal tremendous damage when hit at full, and also the potential to next to nothing at all.

28 x 5 = 140

under the assumption that every level of hits has a equal chance (20% chance of hitting once or twice, or thrice etc etc.)
On average frenzied attack hits 3 times.

28 x 3 = 84

now lets compare this with the upgrade.

29 x 3 = 87

As you can see, this upgrade system of using the MAXIMUM HITS to gauge the upgrade value is flawed and punishes the idea of the skill which is gambling for higher damage.
I suggest that the damage added per upgrade be increased to match the average increase with those of other skills.

in short, make frenzied attack gain +2 dmg per upgrade

As much as I'd like to see this you'll have to understand that if they gave frenzied and attacks like it those kinds of numbers, then when they DO hit at max hits then the damage outputs would be astronomical. Having a flight with it I wouldn't mind that, but with everyone having pod and tech II I just see that being way too op

Without the weather advantage that is serving as the meta right now, and the consideration that those same moves will be getting the full 5 atk boost per upgrade (which is further enhanced by the weather effects), I hardly doubt that such a change as this will be "astronomical".

ie. Thunderstorm at 95 atk x 1.5 for rain is 142.5

I'm not saying lets give frenzied attack the +5 atk per upgrade, as that would be ridiculous and overpowered. I'm saying lets not use this as an opportunity to kick skill sets, that are already underpowered, into the ground.

Again to reiterate, atleast give frenzied attack a more accurate boost per upgrade.

That's a good point that physical monsters, who frenzied is mostly used on, don't have a weather advantage so technically every weather is a disadvantage for them. This would also give a boost to ghosts, who also are disadvantaged by weather.

I still think it will lead to op thanks to pod. If it weren't for that I'd be all for it but there are a lot of tech II, pod, frenzied flights out there, and that +1 may not seem like much but it adds up. I just really am not sure where to stand on this one...

Skill upgrades dont give every new upgrade 5 more dmg !!
it's already been proven that only the first 2 Upgrades give 5 more dmg to the epic skills! The 3rd update gives you 3 dmg and the 4th 2 dmg.
But we dont know what's with the other 2, the 5th and 6th Upgrade!
So maybe that all 6 upgrades together only are able to power that skill with maybe 20 dmg...

I am about 80% in agreeing with this idea. Another option for Neutral types for upgrades would be to Reduce the damage reflect from Kamikaze and infliction.

But back to OT: i think maybe the first upgrade for frenzied and laijitsu should be A better hit rating: +1 for frenzied could be 2 or 3 hit min, up to 5. and laijitsu be 2 hits permanent. Then with +2 skills the damage increases.
