Seduction and Martyrdom

If you're seduced by seduction and use Martyrdom, if seduction activates, you shouldn't still lose all your HP. This is because it's less of a "miss" and more like a "prevention" as it isn't based on accuracy.

Up for this,
It's like the monster was demotivated to use it's skill.

Re: Seduction and Martyrdom

When seduction works it registers as a miss, so it's a miss. If they made it so that didnt happen then they'd have to make it so moves that stun or confuse the user didnt as well which I think is complete bs. If you're going to be foolish enough to try to use those moves with seduction then you deserve the backlash

Re: Seduction and Martyrdom

I'm inclined to agree with Lord.Rex.
You shouldn't be using Martyrdom while in Seduction anyway.

Think of it like this:
Seduction seduces your monster so it might not attack your opponent's monster. It will constantly try to make your monster purposely miss. If your monster decides to kill itself and try to take its opponent with it but it remembers that it's seduced and it suddenly has a change of heart, it will just destroy itself.
That's how I'm going with it, anyway!

Re: Seduction and Martyrdom

So I'm stupid for using martyrdom and going second when I'm facing a monster that I didn't know had seduction on it? Does that mean I'd be stupid for ever using martyrdom, simply due to the fact that I go second? Seduction should work like Shun in martyrdom, just ignore it and don't let anything happen.

Why would you imply that about yourself?

Firstly, I absolutely did not take that situation into account. I was only saying that you shouldn't be using Martyrdom when you're already seduced.

Having said this, I still stay by my other points. I see it as I described it in my previous post and I believe that most do or should as well.

Re: Seduction and Martyrdom

Imma have to disagree. Even the most powerful element moves still make stats decrease or cause stun when they miss. You know that there's a risk to using such moves in and situation and you also know that there is a chance of a miss. Yet u still take that risk. Seduction is only like a miss booster. Also it's not that hard to fight if u can find a replacement monster. If u switch out the seduction will be gone

That's why people use weather effects, they cancel those debuffs. Plus it increases the dodge chance tenfold, there's a difference in taking an acceptable risk of let's say 10% chance of a miss and unacceptable of let's say 90% miss

Some people don't use weather or have that luxary also all weather doesn't increase dodge rating. Also after seduction is cast u know there is a greater chance of a miss so you still take that risk.
