Haypi Monster: Next Generation

Haypi Isn't Over!

First and foremost, why this topic was created is to give suggestion on otherwise impending demise of Haypi Monster (based on the topics I've seen around the forums).. But that shouldn't be the case, there are a lot more elements that can be incorporated in-game that should provide equality and progression both to veterans and new comers.. As such, I'm doing a post with regards on other factors that would hopefully help the game developers and players generate ideas and do innovations that was previously unavailable to other monster catching games..

1. Rebirth System: Through countless battles, trainings and breeding that the trainers experienced they we're able to formulate a new process to empower their monsters by rebirthing them.. Rebirthing enhances the monsters capacities and enables them to compete on a higher tier!

Mechanics:

a. Rebirth shrine shall be available to players level 25 and up

b. Monsters can be reborn on specific levels

c. Rebirthing process would use this monster and have it fused w/ another monster of the same class and element inducing:
- +5 to all STATs after being reborn
- Gives additional stats every monster level, depending on the monster STAT alignment (i.e. Leviathan gains more STATs on HP giving him an addle STAT gain on HP)
- Signature monster skill (to be discussed on a separate topic)

d. Different rarity allows different rebirth frequencies:
- Legendries: 1x (@level 60)
- Epics: 2x (@level 55 & 60)
- Rares: 3x (@level 50, 55 & 60)
- Uncommon: 4x (@level 45, 50, 55 & 60)
- Common: 5x (@level 40, 45, 50, 55 & 60)

e. Names of rebirthed monsters:
- 1x: Powerful
- 2x: Elite
- 3x: Champion
- 4x: Grand
- 5x: Exceptional

f. Cost of rebirthing is based on the monster's rarity:
- Legendary: 2M + Essence of Life + Essence of Wisdom + Boss Essence
- Epic: 1M + Essence of Life + Essence of Wisdom + Boss Essence
- Rare: 500k + Essence of Life + Essence of Wisdom + Boss Essence
- Uncommon: 250k + Essence of Life + Essence of Wisdom + Boss Essence
- Common: 125k + Essence of Life + Essence of Wisdom + Boss Essence

_________________________________________________________________

2. Signature Monster Skill (as suggested by junicobakura):

As mentioned on junicobakura's post, giving monster their signature skill would add more depth, mechanics and strategy on the current metagame. Not to mention possible utilization of already disregarded monsters.

Mechanics:

a. Re-birthed monsters would be the ones to have access to this signature skills

b. Signature skills can only be attained through additional tasks:
- Common: Must have completed Canyon & has a collection of 60 monsters
- Uncommon: Must have completed Sealed Space & has a collection of 70 monsters
- Rare: Must have completed Frozen Cavern & has a collection of 80 monsters
- Epic: Must have completed Chaotic Swamp & has a collection of 90 monsters
- Legendary: Must have completed Holy Ruins Expert & has a collection of 100 monsters

c. Signature skill upgrade shall follow existing upgrade process of existing skills

d. Signature skills shall provide a separate tap button on-screen and can be used twice per match (giving a total of 5 skills per monster)

e. Signature skills is not unlockable by Gold Coins

_________________________________________________________________

3. Induction of Ancient Monsters: Through so much exploration on various lands, players we're able to stumble upon certain artifacts that have been lost in history. Artifacts w/c was previously used by trainers in the past to train and tame Ancient monsters!

a. Introduction of Ancient Chests, shall contain Ancient artifacts that once accomplished shall unleash the extinct ancient monsters.
- Ancient Chests can be purchased from shop with 10k Honor Points
- Ancient Chests can be acquired from Gold and Crystal Chests

b. Introduction of Summoning shrine, necessary artifact has been assembled players may proceed in the summoning shrine and perform the ritual.
- Similar to synthesis concept the summoning Shrine shall unlock the ancient monster and enable the player to acquire it thru sacrificing needed catalysts
- Ancient Monsters shall require 2 Legendary Monsters of opposite genders and 3 catalyst items for the summoning ritual
- Ancient Monsters can never be bred, the class of the Ancient monster shall be the average of the class of the sacrificed monsters
- Ancient Monsters shall introduce, Ancient level talents changeable only thru Gold Coins
- Ancient Monsters can never be reborn

_________________________________________________________________

4. Creation of new monster Elements: With the continuous expansion of Haypi world, more lands have been unraveled and with it new monster elements!

a. Steel: Strong against Grass and Electric, Weak against Fire and Water
b. Wind: Strong against Water and Ice, Weak against Grass and Fire
c. Dragon: Strong against Dragons, Resistance to all Elements, Weak against Dragons and Ice

_________________________________________________________________

5. Cross-breeding and monster types! Across the Barren Lands, the indigenous people used cross-bred their monsters in order to ensure not only their safety but also their survivability. With Cross-breeding monsters were able to inherit skills otherwise unavailable for their element and be able to use this at their disposal!

Mechanics:

a. Monsters of the same type are the ones allowed for Cross-breeding

b. Cross-breeding shall be unlocked after completion of Barren Lands Expert

c. Monster types can be viewed after Identifying them

d. Cross-bred monsters can never be bred again they shall have prefix names of Hybrid

e. Sample Monster types:
- Beasts (i.e. Cerberus, Lupa)
- Dragons (i.e. Smiter, Draconius)
- Formless (i.e. Evergreen, Geo)
- Flyers (i.e. Gogo, Phoenix)
- Bipedals (i.e. Neon, Smack)
- Humanoids (i.e. Blocky, Minotaur)

_________________________________________________________________

6. Item Storage (have posted this before): With too much items found during exploration, players found a way in organizing themselves much better!

a. Bookshelf shall contain all types of books separated by Beginner, Intermediate, Advance and Ancient. Bookshelf shall have storage limit of 20 per item

b. Armory shall contain all equippable items and shall have storage limit of 20 per item

c. Scroll Chest shall contain all scrolls and shall have storage limit of 20 per item

d. The following item storage enhancements in meant to support possible new items to be introduced on:
- Rebirth System
- Signature Skills Implementation
- Ancient Artifacts
- Item Synthesis

e. Unlockable at level 12

_________________________________________________________________

7. Item Synthesis (have posted this before): After years of research, players have found a way to compound items and make them more stronger! This synthesized items boosts the monsters abilities and enables them to unleash the hidden potentials of their talents..

a. Blacksmith Shop: The blacksmith shop features two new ways of synthesizing:
- Compounding Items: Uses Base Items(1) together with Compound Items(2)
- Set Items: Completing all the combinations of the base items allows players to access a more powerful item by transmuting them into a single entity!

Items:

- Sharp Claw + Iron Shield = Spiked Shield
- Sharp Claw + Warriors Headpiece = Thorned Crown
- Sharp Claw + Winged Boots = Bladed Greaves
- Sharp Claw + Waistband = Studded Braces
- Sharp Claw + Sharp Claw = Blades of Attack

8. Monster Alignment: Adapting to various training methods monster may now gain an alignment boost randomly from breeding, synthesizing, egg-hatching, buying or after being caught!

1. Dark Alignment - Adds additional 10% to the ATK and MATK of your monster every start of battle, adds additional 25% damage against Light alignments

2. Light Alignment - Adds additional 10% to the DEF and MDEF of your monster every start of battle, adds additional 25% damage against Dark alignments

Re: Haypi Monster: Next Generation

Thanks! Hopefully some of the above mentioned suggestions would be considered.. Many think this game is a rip-off but I think they just used Pokemon as their baseline.. Hopefully, HM would improve and incorporate various factors and make this game more interactive..

Off topic: Really? So how we're the movesets I've suggested worked out for you?

Re: Haypi Monster: Next Generation

I like the ancient monsters and the new types (though light and dark seem useless seeming how psychic and ghost basically is light and dark, it would ne way too redundant) the rest I dont like, they're way too coiner friendly. I agree when people say F2P people have it way too easy but those ideas will make the gap too large to overcome. I mean come on, BL expert? It took a S Levi, cerb, pattafly, and gryph for cooper to beat it and who knows how many coins and revive cards he used to heal. As for the rebirth that requires all that silver and essence, that will again benefit coiners and people who have as many alts as they do free time.

They're all interesting ideas but I really hope they aren't added without a little tweaking of the requirements, except of course the ancient monsters and new types. That seems well balanced.

Re: Haypi Monster: Next Generation

Huge post, obviously with a lot of time and thought put into it.

I have to say I do like the ancient monster idea as well as the item stroage and item synthesis idea. It allows for more variability in items especially in PVP.

The new elements idea is interesting but it might be much harder to implement as it completely adds a new dimension to the game with all the different combinations as well as plethora of new monsters.

Re: Haypi Monster: Next Generation

Thanks for your response! I want to further enhance the criterias of my suggestions.. Are they worth it to update? Or should i just scrap them off? Would be sending an edited post once I've rebalanced some of the mechanics as well..

Re: Haypi Monster: Next Generation

i think rebirth is unnecessary along with alot of your other suggestions. Dont feel discouraged i like the fire in you and everyone will not always see things from your view. but i really do like the idea of cross breeding and ancient monsters :)

Re: Haypi Monster: Next Generation

Nice suggestions and good job!
Firstly, i dont like the rebirthing system, because its like stacking, the most far player have the highest stacks. At the beginning only a few players poded their monster. Breed your monster to S, rebirth them to powerful, stack your skill to +6, use pod, win the game. This game needs more strategys and no stacking rainbow that only coiners can win…

Cant say anything about Signature Monster Skill

Ancient Monsters is a great idea to bring more difference in the singleplayermode especially to collectors like me :D

The creation of monster elements is a hard choice… light and dark its the same like psy and ghost how Lord.Rex already said. I realy dont like dragon, because its a kind of an animal. Maybe steel and wind can be elements, but i think the most players dont like to much colours :D

Sorry i dont understand this cross-breeding, i guess its just me :D

Item storage is a good suggestion.

At least a realy great idea and able to became a part of this game – the item synthesis. a little change :D
Waistband + Winged Boots = Sandals of Levitation = increase MAtk by 10 and speed by 10
Winged Boots + Waistband = Feathered Lasso = increase speed by 10 and Matk by 10
Its the same… i know you want some different items, but hold them in a decent bright.

You've done a good job and gave me inspiration
