Winged boots disappear

Every time i switch between winged boots etc the one taken off disappears from game. Ive lost most of my spare stock this way.

Looking closer - i suspect that they may be appearing in bag as dumbells instead of the winged boots they were, as i seem to have a few too many dumbells.
